I like any red wine with spaghetti if it had some kind of red sauce. Chiant and Cabs are exceptionally good with spaghetti, or any wine imported from Italy.
If your having spaghetti with some kind of white sauce, you might want to go with a white, maybe a Chardonnay or Viognier.

At our house, we like a red; Chianti, burgundy. Whatever. Beer is for pizza.
Inglenook has a good Chianti that comes in an 18 liter box, handy if you
have a big family or enjoy inexpensive wine. Many others are out there, but do yourself a favor and try a red wine instead of beer.

I like Chianti. Red Zinfindales are nice also. Check out Ravenswood. It's not very expensive.

Go for something made from the Sangiovese grape as it tends to pair really well with tomato based sauces. Chianti is made from Sangiovese grapes or you can just save a little money and purchase a Sangiovese itself. Mange' Bien!

A shiraz or chianti is good. Depending on how spicy, a cabernet can be good...the spicier the better.
