How do i make a guy forget the girl he liked from highschool?

I really like this guy. He is intelligent, sweet and very gentlemanly. We went out and hung out and talked from 9pm Friday night to 1am Saturday morning. However, during this time he told me that he likes a girl, from his highschool, who he still keeps in contact with. The thing is this: He never dated her or went out with her and now she now goes to a different college. What do you think my chances with him are? He wants to hang out again on Friday. Sometimes I think that he is lonely, but I never see him with other girls. He seems to only want my company.

It's pretty hard for someone to forget their first crush from high school.

But you are in with a really good chance. Realistically, he knows this other girl is not into him, and she is conveniently out of the picture.

I would go after him, and show him there is a real woman right in front of him who is on the scene and ready to be with him. He would be an idiot to choose a dream over that.

Well, if that's the case then I feel sorry for him. You are a woman, and the main competition is going to another college somewhere and you have the guy that likes her all to yourself.
