Check out the link below...
"...Pastor Ted, who talks to President George W. Bush or his advisers every Monday, is a handsome forty-eight-year-old Indianan, most comfortable in denim. He likes to say that his ONLY disagreement with the President is automotive; Bush drives a Ford pickup, whereas Pastor Ted loves his Chevy..."
"...Pastor Ted soon began upsetting the devil's plans. He staked out gay bars, inviting men to come to his church; his whole congregation pitched itself into invisible battles with demonic forces, sometimes in front of public buildings..."
Of particular amusement is the interview with Linda, check out footnote #3.

I think I may have touched a nerve...It seems to me that people may be upset that they naively follow such crooks and hypocrites (most of whom never get caught for their actions).
Funny that those who claim values of "not bothering others" and "not taking pleasure in others pain" are the first ones to vote for anti-gay measures on the ballot and send young men and women to their deaths in foreign wars so that their SUV, energy laden lifestyles can continue.

Can I just say that while I expect they are feeling hurt and betrayed, I think it is VERY appropriate to make a mockery of the situation and to wallow in the exposure of his hypocrisy as much as possible. You get a lot of this with people on their side of the tracks who screw things up - "Can't we all just put it behind us", "Why should we take enjoyment from their embarrassment", etc. It was the same with Mel Gibson, Cheney when he shot his hunting pal, Foley, and all the previous evengelists who got caught with their tackle too close to the wrong person. We wouldn't loathe these people so much if they didn't make a professional career out of telling everyone else how to behave. But they do. So I'm REALLY glad he's suffering and I hope his vile followers are choking on crow. They didn't follow him because they liked the interior decor of his church, but because he articulated their hatred of gays.

under that hair the colour of a flame There lies a coronary heart and soul as chilly as ice the sea Hag has a too widespread call yet i could be a fool to talk it two times. She speaks out in a room the place few are left and those that are fake she makes some experience Of decency she's completely bereft And nevertheless she would not see it she is dense. She'd have you ever think of she values who you're yet then she turns her returned on you and leaves I swear the b*tch is greater useful off on MARS the place people who lead have something up their sleeves. in case you had stayed you may have misplaced your recommendations And as that's previous boy you have been maligned.

I don't care what political connections Haggard or anyone else has or what important and powerful people he knows. I'm following Jesus, not Ted Haggard or any other human.
Check out the blog entry I posted about Haggard at the first link below.

Many look to church leaders as if they are the one to follow. Others compare themselves to others to see how they "shape up" but I have always notice that they compare themselves to someone that does not shape up as well.
As a pastor, I tell those under my care NOT to watch me. I tell them to keep their eyes upon JESUS and only upon HIM.
If we are in lost in the wilderness, the best way out is to find a distant landmark and keep our eye on that mark and keep heading toward it. If we do not, we will keep going in circles. Our mark is Jesus Christ...not Haggard....Not Baker, or Swaggard and certainly not me.

I didn't check out your link cause I'm not that interested. I'm Christian and I know that there are men and women who are so called Christians who lead less than perfect lives. It's between them and God. You tend to forget what a true Christian is and that Christians are human prone to bad behavior that God often brings to light.

If people follow a man, they will always be disappointed.
This is why it is important to follow Jesus.
In the meantime, you should be concerned about your own life, and not others.

Non-believers,atheists and the like love to pounce on an issue like this. What does his downfall prove? Only that he is human like all of us and is tempted by Satan like all of us. Actually,Satan has no need to tempt non believers as he already has them where he wants them. But,Satan will tempt, and successfully so many times , the Christian to try and knock down the faiths of many other Christians when they see one of their bretheren fall. The Christians with strong faith won't let this deter them.

I'm sure they are all hurt and feel betrayed. I do not see the need to make a mockery of the situation.

Thank you for poking fun at their pain, I'm sure the congregation enjoys having their pain as the source of your amusement.
I thank you for it because it lets me know the condition of your heart. If you hadn't posed this question then I'd never have known the hatred within you. Now I know.
