You call yourself 'The Pastor', but you seem to have more questions than answers.Yes. The very elect are already being deceived. Look at the catholic religion. All the things they do that go directly against the teachings of Christ. Look at the Buddhists, the muslims, and all the other religions that do not teach Christ crucified for our sins, resurrected and ascending to the right hand of God. And then look at how many lost people follow these religions. And as for the babies that you mention, the gov't does fund Planned Parenthood. They cannot use that money to perform abortions, but they pay expenses that free up dollars that do go to perform them. 6 of one, half dozen of the other. This country left God behind with the decision in Roe vs. Wade. Instead of complaining about it, log on to www.aclj.org and sign the petition to de-fund Planned Parenthood. Idiots like Al Gore will still raise money for them, but at least our tax dollars will no longer go there.

First of all, we are not told that the elect would be deceived..look at what it does say:
Mark 13:
21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect
I do not think the things you have described shows deception as much as it does laziness and the feelings we should "tolerate" everyone. God does not call us to tolerate sin. We are suppose to come out from among them...not join them.
Nominal Christianity explains this more:

Well, if you're christian and you're holding the sabbath on Sunday, then you've been deceived. "Remember the sabbath and keep it holy" does not mean, "or change if it if its more convenient", which is basically what happened when Constantine changed it to Sunday in order to make it easier to convert pagans, who had their sabbath for their fake gods on Sunday. So, yeah, we've been deceived. As for the taxes, the bible makes it pretty clear that we are to follow our government and pay taxes, so even though they do things we don't agree with with the taxes we pay, that doesn't mean we've been mislead. Does anyone really expect the governments to act religiously? No, so its not really being mislead.

Everyone on earth is deceived. We all have to pay taxes, unfortunately. People were taxed in the old and new testament stories also. If I were allowed to make a decision about how my money is spent in the form of a tax, then I would choose God to receive my money as opposed to the greedy buggers in the government.

It says that it's not possible to deceive the elect. What it says is that the deception will be so artful that one would think it would deceive the elect, if such a thing could happen.
Perhaps consider who the elect are, and if you are among the elect. A quick and easy "yes" answer means that you need to think again. See Matthew 22:14.

No. This has not happened yet. To use this quote correctly, you cannot overlook the phrase, "...if it were possible..."
The true church (the elect) are aware of all the falsehoods in our society. We recognize that what's good for the world isn't necessarily good for the Kingdom of God. And we also recognize that God is in control of ALL things, and our eyes are focused on the Lord.
Jesus teaches us to give to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. The government will be held responsible for the funds they appropriate through taxes.
Jesus also teaches that Christians are to follow the laws of our land so that the church is not a stumbling block.
And BTW, you have robbed God (Malachi 3) if you are tithing only on your net and not your gross.

Satan owns all the governments of the world--if not, he could not have offered them to Jesus for just one act of worship----and, God would not be destroying all the governments of the world as recorded for as at Daniel 2:44. Yes, some of the elect have been deceived and some will yet be deceived. Read your Bible every day and pray to know God's will. Try hard to locate the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" so that you may receive the proper food at the proper time as it will lead to life everlasting.

Everyone is deceived about what happens with their tax money. That's just the way government is.
But I don't think that's what that quote is about. (Mt 24:24)
However, I realize this is why Christianity is such a confusing religion. The Bible is so ambiguous.

How do you determine who are the false Christs and who are the true Christs?
There is no reliable method.
So it is not possible to decide whether you are spouting nonsense or not. If you cannot decide, you have to assume it is nonsense to be on the safe side.
As a pastor your salary is already exempt from USA taxes. Seems like you are a bit more greedy than you want to admit.

God isn't into human politics. He's concerned about the heart condition of humans.
Notice also that the verse says "...IF it were possible..." The religious deceptions at the end of time will be so overwhelmingly believable that it would deceive the elect IF it were possible - IF God wasn't protecting them.
