I have A Audiobahn A8002V and it was working just fine for about 4 days...until it shut down to protect mode. I let it cool down for a whole day and that didnt work..I looked at the fuses on the amp, power wire and it looks just fine..the remote wire is working...when i put the rca, remote, and power wires on the amp the protection light comes on and then i put the ground wire on the the amp the protect turns off, but the power light on the amp still does come on... i used 2 other amps i have that i know works and does the same thing...DOES ANYONE KNOW WANT THE PROBLEM IS????

Amplifiers will go into protect for a number of reasons, including overheating, mismatched loads, DC voltage at the output, shorted wiring, etc. Determine what your amp is designed to protect against then start tracing from there.

Unfortunately the amp may have internal, terminal damage. If it is under warranty, have it replaced. Also, many amps have internal fuse protection, in addition to the fuse protected circuit supplying the power to the amp.

You have an Audiobahn amp. There's the problem.

had the same problem I think. remote wire from radio bad! Run your remote to another source that's only hot when the key is on. try it couldn't hurt.
