Because society is obsessed with looks and figures and they make woman believe they are like crap if they don't look a certain way. If you were to see me on the street you would probably say she dresses nice but I have seen better looking and you would be right.
Look at any magazine everyone is thin and glamorous and it is not natural for a woman to get big implants if her body is small or medium and even large woman.
Our bodies are a gift from God and we should respect the temple not ruin it. I am not talking about if a woman has a mastery and has her breasts removed from caner and gets implants that is understandable but do hurt your body just to make others happy that does NOT make sense.
Our society is too obsessed with plastic surgery and looks and figures and the average person does not look like the glamor woman in REAL life.

Well some women could stand to use a lift after breastfeeding and age, and typically an augmentation is done as well, the obvious reason to obtain the body they once had.
Now, in the case of doing because one is unhappy with their size it must be because she feels it will make her more attractive. They say the leading reason is because women feel their breasts are not proportional to the rest of their body.
I know I could say it's not necessary or these women have made a mistake or that I'll never do it, but I'm happy with mine and they're large so I can't really know what they deal with.

Because of peers and such. Sure, women want to be beautiful and look sexy, but they need to realize that men are actually NOT that particular.
A nice looking woman with large breasts or small just doesn't matter that much to men. Sure they look at women with large breasts but when it comes down to it, they don't really care.
Makeup makes her look great and thats ok. If you EVER want to see how a woman looks without her make up, make arrangement to see her after the sun goes down and in VERY dim lighting conditions. There will be NO color on her face. You might just be surprized.
A woman should just take what God provider her with and develop a personality that will over come any deficencies!!

I assume you mean breast implants. First, "ruin their bodies" is a value judgement on your part. There are many reasons why breast augmentation has become one of world's most popular aesthetic plastic surgery procedures. In many cases the surgery enhances self-esteem in women who are very small or who have had significant involution from pregnancy. Implants are also commonly used to restore women who have had mastectomies for breast cancer.

Some women are very unhappy with their body. If they were born with very small or misshapen breasts, I could understand why they might want to get "corrective" surgery, but the Hollywood bimbos they show on reality programs like Dr. 90210 really just have a very skewed view on what men find attractive.
The best comparison I can make though is this:
How many websites are devoted to natural breasts?
How many are devoted to silicone?
I rest my case.

Vanity. They want themselves to look perfect in order to 1) attract men or 2) make money on the modeling circuit.
Of course there are some women who get implants because it helps their self-esteem, such as women who had to have their breasts removed due to cancer.

Well, when society shoves these 'perfect' models and Hollywood types into the limelight and puts it into the minds of women that they need to look just like that they feel inadequate and then try to correct that by finding a way to look like whom they admire.
Little do they realize that what they see has two hours worth of make-up and is usually airbrushed by computer. Perfection doesn't exist and we should be loved for being just the way we are.

they want a body they weren't born with. implants are not my thing, but at the end of the day, i can only say to each her own

I dont think they ruin their bodies.......LETS be HONEST some women need it. and for those who dont, its okay too. They take pride in how they look and want to achieve it any way po$$ible

Low self esteem. I find it pretty sickening... I have never and will never touch my body with anything false (besides a little mascara ;D).
