Ok, so heres what happened. Last night i received an email from this guy that i USED to like. It was really sad because he was explaining how i made the last 4 months of his life great and how he was jealous because his best friend and i hang out. So, i wrote an email back to him explaining about how i used to like him but he broke my heart. The next day i couldnt stop reading the emails and i realized we mentioned alot of the same things. Well, i decided to print off both of the emails and circle the things we both said. As i was working on that, i fell asleep(it was midnight) and my mom came in to tell me to go to bed. Well, when she came in,she saw the emails inside of the notebook on my lap. When i woke up the next morning(in the same place i was the night before), i realized the notebook was open. And now my mom keeps talking about this guy friend of mine, and well, i dont know what to do. Im really mad at my mom for reading them, but i dont know if i should talk about it or not!

Sadly as long as you live under her roof she has free reign, and she read it to make sure you were being safe. You should be glad that she is concerned about who you talk to. Would you rather her not care and you get in trouble or her nose into some things and possibly save your life. There are so many sickos out there how was she to know that the email was from a person you knew and not some sicko? Talk to her, be honest with her, let her know that is bothered you.

You fell asleep with the notebook open...hello....mom did not invade your privacy, it was right out there for her to see. How old are you? Mom is probably just trying to be an involved parent. Cut her some slack and let her know what's going on in your life---including guys. We moms know a lot more than you might give us credit for. At any rate, Why can't you just tell mom the truth, like you just wrote here for a million of us to talk about?

I didn't talk to my mom when I was a teenager and now our relationship is strained. My 15 and 12 year old girls are open and honest with me--and i do the type of invading of privacy that you think your mom is doing.

Talk to your mom....

I would say your mother is doing the right thing by keeping a watchful eye on a young girl.To many guys or dirty old men are out there looking for a girl just like you.Be glad she wants to know what you're up to and with who.Not all parents are that concerned. You will understand oneday when and if you have a daughter.

Yea you should talk about it, shes is probably just curious, do you talk to her about stuff? If not she could just be wanting to make sure your not getting yourself into trouble, but yes your right, i would be pretty pissed too. But one thing that is important here. How old are you?

Sorry sweety...your mom is worried about you...it's what moms do...if she didn't care about you she wouldn't have bothered...count yourself lucky..most parents these day don't give a darn about their kids..they are pretty self-absorbed...I know this doesn't make sense now

Get over it. Your mother deserves to know what's going on in your life.
