I agree with dane lover, not all wormers will work for every type of internal parasite. you need to take a fecal sample to the vet so they can determine which parasite it is and give you the correct type of medication. dealing with worms in the stool for puppies is common. deworm the mom also, there are some parasites the mom passes to the pups thru her milk. age of the puppy isn't an issue, just get them dewormed. after the dewormer is given you will cont to see worms in the stool because they are dyeing and being excreted. but you need to make sure you clean the area the mom and pups are in to ensure they are not re-infecting themselves. not that they are 8wks old you can start them on heartworm preventative and like heartgard plus has a monthly dewormer in it also as to help prevent re-infestation. good luck

Ensure you tidy up any of their faeces and keep their bedding clean. Did you do all the puppies and the mum at the same time? Do you have other dogs that are in contact with the puppies? Did you get the wormer from the vet as someone asked before? When worming puppies and lactating b1tches the best idea is to go to a vet clinic and speak to one of the nurses and tell her their age, weight and what kind of wormer you are after. They will ensure you get the best option for your babies.

The oral dewormers..are they from a vet or OTC? What type of dewormer was it? Not all dewormers work for all types of worms, you may need to get a different dewormer, Also it isn't unusual for puppies to still have worms after a deworming especially if they had a lot to begin with, if mom wasn't dewormed at the same time as the pups, if the pups are outside, if their area isn't kept clean, if poop isn't kept picked up.
Puppies should be dewormed at 2,4,6 & 8 weeks of age and periodically after that.

I have never heard of this before. You should not be doing the worming anyway. If you are going to have puppies, you should have enough money to take them to the Vet.
You need to take a fecal sample to the Vet to determine which type of worms they have. The dosage for the parasite is determined by the puppie's body weight also.
ALL dogs need to be on heartworm medicine every month of the year to prevent heartworms and other parasites. ALL dogs need to be on Frontline for flea/ticks every month of the year also. DO YOU KNOW YOUR DOG CAN CONTACT FLEAS IN THE WINTER? They can.

That should have taken care of them. We start worming our pups at 2 weeks and worm weekly until six weeks, then every 2-3 weeks after that. They usually never show worms when they are sat the vet's.

Maybe the dosage for the oral wormer was incorrect, or it was not a good wormer or out of date.

By whom were these puppies wormed? Spend the money and take them to the vet and get it done by someone trained to deworm puppies.
