In no particular order (and these were Generals who were good at being Generals on the Battlefield, not battalion commanders who excelled and later become Generals, like Hal Moore)

Alexander the Great - conquered the known world by the time he was 26

Erwin Rommel - the Desert Fox. Would have won in WW2 North African if he's been given the supplies

Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington - victor in India, Portugal, Spain, and at Waterloo.
Bernard Law Montgomery - inpsired his troops, designed and delivered victory in the Battle of Normandy

G.B.P 'Pip' Roberts (The Black Bull, WW2) - youngest Major General in the British Army, led 11th Armoured from Normandy into Germany. Best tank leader and often overlooked.

George S. Patton - made Stormin Norman look like he was playing with toys. Put fear into the Nazis

Robert E. Lee - led Johnny Reb, inspired his troops, nearly beat the Feds

Hanibal Barca - amazing adventures
Vo Nguyen Giap- took on the French and won, then the US, and Won
Geory Zhukov - Red Army leader that did more than anyone to defeat the Wehmacht

In order of importance they are:

Pershing
MacArthur
Nimitz (he was an admiral but that's the same as a general)
Washington
George C Marshall
Halsey (also an admiral)
Sheridan
Robert E. Lee
George Patton
Bradley

Eisenhower was a political General that was given commands because of his political savvy not his military expertise. The generals and admirals I've listed had operational commands where Eisenhower was a pawn in the hands of Churchill and Roosevelt. His ability to use tact in handling the allied friction gained him command.
