At age 11, it is really hard to know what love is, outside of the love you have for your family. You certainly can like each other and be good friends. A friendly hug now and then is ok, but that is all. I remember when I was your age, I knew this girl in my class and really liked her. We were real good friends until she moved away, do you know I sill remember her name and what she looks like, and that was almost 50 years ago! That's right, I am almost 61 years old and I remember how I felt at your age. Then I saw it in my five children and now it is happening to a couple of my grandchildren, who are 14 and 15. I tell them to keep the hugs to a minimum and and try to help them understand the difference between liking someone and loving someone. Why don't you speak to your parents or even your grandparents if they are nearby. You are very smart for asking for advice!

Unfortunately, the world 'love' is thrown around too much in society now a days
The real love between a man and a woman is probably not present. However, it could be a different love...like friend and friend, brother and sister, childhood sweethearts...alot of factors go into it...and you have to determine this by yourself. However, in order to truly love someone romantically you need to know them, be best friends with them, want to spend your life with them, and would die for them...true, real 'love' is never a passing emotion....it stays with you for life. Just some things to think about next time you use the word 'love'

No it's not nomral b/c at 11 neither of you are mentally developed enough to even begin to wrap you mind or heart around the true meaning of love.

at age 11 its only puppy love. When I was your age love was a word you threw around. As you get older you won't hear it nearly as soon as 2 days. Have fun nothing is too serious at your age.
