Put a marble in his hand and let him know that God is so big that the earth looks smaller than this. Point to your son and say that God is so awesome he created man. God is so loving that he gave himself for his creation. God is our friend, he listens to us, he loves us, and he wants us to let him take care of us. God is so big he can handle anything: eventhough you cant see Him. If you have trouble with this take him to a church that is kid centered that love kids and can explain using object lessons.

It depends on what you believe. I would tell him that some say God made the whole world and he is the creator of humans (if you believe in God). Just tell him what you believe and what others believe. Keep it simple. YOu can read a childrens bible to him if you want.

my parents sent me to a private Chathlic day care at that age. just say god is the person who made all the people ,place ,animals and plants, and he looks to see if you are good or bad and if ur good you get to see him and the angels. My parents told my baby sister that god was santa's brother so she will have respect for him and the plan to set her straight with religion when she is about 7 or 8. so they I guess you can say are stalling for time

You could say "God is who created everything. The trees, the water in the ocean, the sky, anything you can think of!" I think he will be baffled with that answer, and may give him an idea on how vast God is. I hope that helps.

Tell a small child that God is watching over us. That he is nice and loves us for who we are. That he created us and all of the world.

God is the good that rests in all of our hearts. When we do something good, we can feel God's love for us.

Pretty good for an atheist huh? Ah well, I went to Catholic school all my life.

All the good qualities that you can think of; love, compassion, generosity, truthfullness, happiness, peace, serenity, forgiveness,
cooperation. God is made up of all good qualities. There is not even a single bad quality in God.
That's probably the reason why we can't see him.

I gave my daughter a children's bible when she was old enough to read. Before that I would tell he that she is to young to really understand & that he was the creator of the world and was very special and important. She learned much more soon after joining her grandmother's church.
