There aren't any real raves around Long Beach, but there are like 3 big raves every weekend in the downtown Los Angeles area. You can find the calendar for them on www.ravelinks.com. Most of them are all ages, and go from about 9 pm-5 am. Some are huge, and have different DJ's in different rooms there.

Try going to the Vault in Long Beach, it's on Pine Avenue around 3rd or 4th St. That'd be a good beginning, and also, it's a great place to just meet people who like to do the same thing, even if you just walk up and down the street, go to Rockbottom's Brewery on Ocean, the Pike, etc..
