I am mixed, black and white... my first boyfriend was white and everyone was thrilled (The people I live with are all white)! Now, I'm dating a black man and although none of my family like him very much, they still accept him because I care about him. It shouldn't matter what everyone else says, and if everyone else truly loved you, they'd see that what you saw wasn't only skin deep and keep their opinions to themselves.

First of all, your dad is no fool, so always take heed to his advice. Secondly, you can't help who you are attracted to. Third, you want to know how the dating game is? Well, whichever race you date, make sure they are a Christian in action bc many only profess Christianity without the lifestyle. The dating game is full of games, lies, and people simply wanting sex and saying anything to get sex from you. I hope you find a nice, honest white guy if that's what you want. There's someone for everyone, there are white guys who date ghetto women so don't be fooled on thinking only a certain type "black" woman can get a white guy. White guys are simply regular males with a different skin color from your own. Good Luck to all of you young girls and trolls wanting these white guys!

No. Why worry ? You shouldn't have to !! You must have an awful family and friends if they would ever think that. There is nothing wrong with dating outside of your own race.

I date outside my race a lot. I don't worry about what my family and friends will say because, 1) I have a lot of friends outside my race, and 2) my mother raised me in a predominantly Caucasian town, she realizes who I'm typically attracted to.

No I haven't dated ever because I am young. But if I married someone outside of my race, I know my friends and family will accept it and be happy for me. If that man loves me, will allow me to practice my religion and will not let my Iranian background and Islam religion be a problem for him, then that is what matters. Marriage should be based on Love, not race or ethnicity.

No I haven't dated outside my race. Not because I don't want to but cuz I guess I don't attract other races or maybe cuz I'm always around black ppl! But I wouldn't care about what ppl say. Love is colorblind and you can't help who you fall in love with. Love is for every race. White heartbreak is the same as Black heartbreak.

Yes I have, and it is amazing if it is the right person. It is there person that matters, not what they look like, or what color their skin happens to be.
If your family loves you, and they want to see you happy, then they will accept it. I don't see it even as a factor but some do.
If you family doesn't approve, then thats fine too, if you decide that the person is amazing and that there are or may be the one, then you continue right on with them anyway.
YOU are the one that has to love them, NOT your family. Make this clear, and everything will be fine.

Currently I am dating a black guy, and I am Asian. I am not worried about what my friends will think. Because if they are my friends, they would be happy for me. But, I do receive the "look" from time to time from people on the street though.

Yes I have and no i haven't worried about it. That's retarded. People are people... you date for their heart, not their skin colour. If anybody wants to tell me otherwise, they can go to hell. It's offensive to think race should matter in any way. The ONLY thing that MAY interfere are cultural issues in terms of values and role expectations. If you are compatible in those terms, race shouldn't matter whatsoever.
