1. The people here are fine. Sure you will run into some real jerks - but that can & will happen anywhere! People just get real testy when it comes to traffic and having to drive in it. Don't worry - you'll get used to it!
2. It's warm most of the time, no snow in the winter (duh!, lol), but we do get rain. Not too much. Depending on where you live, some cities are really crowded and fast paced, some are slower and more relaxed.
3. Nowhere near the beach / Orange County. Look around at apartment websites (apartments.com, etc)... I know some of those have roommate resources also. If you won't be driving then you're going to want to live somewhere centrally located so you can easily take the bus or something.
4. Yes and no. It really depends on what you're talking about, where you live. Some things can be outrageous... but I know the best little Mexican restaurant where you can eat soooo cheap. Oh yeah - you'll have an abundance of Mexican restaurants - enjoy! Rent is high, so is gas.
Don't be scared! :) Good luck.

The people can range from extremely friendly to obnoxious....depends where you live.
I have lived in So. Cal for 21 years now, and really would not ever want to leave California. There is tons to do here, people are liberal and accepting, easy access to beach, mountains, desert, etc. Great weather all the time. There is however a traffic problem, and crowding if you live right in the city. I suggest a suburb...friendlier and less crowded, and safer.
Best places that can still be inexpensive: parts of Glendale, Burbank, Tujunga, Inland Empire: Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside. Also, maybe San Dimas, Montclair, Covina.
Yes, mostly housing is expensive. As far as other things, groceries, etc....they are actually pretty cheap. Gas is more here as well.

while you're an atheist why might you have self belief in spirits? you recognize people superior particularly than being created so what use might a soul be to any residing organism? the belief of souls is a spiritual theory designed to convenience people who do no longer basically like the belief of being lifeless consistently and would not have any foundation relatively. It seems such as you're seeing and listening to random shadows and sounds and freaking your self out. are you able to get a effective vivid lamp on your stairway to do away with those shadows? Waking up and seeing something atypical is in basic terms area of your dream. All those creaks are in all probability led to because of the fact the home is previous and the timbers are increasing and contracting. If ghosts have been genuine how might they make the stairs creak besides? The noises you hear while somebody is strolling on them is led to by skill of the guy's weight on the stairs, and because while is a ghost heavy? heavily in case you end believing in those products it won't difficulty you.
