sometimes and sometimes not. some look down on it, but if you both get that feeling and you both see it as okay, why not? as long as you both want to sure. but don't over do it. i wouldn't making out, all over each other w/ groping. that's just a little too much for a first date. a simple little goodnight kiss can be a perfect ending.

Depends upon the type and location of the kiss. A kiss on the cheek, or a light touching of lips is cool. Anything close to "making out" should probably wait until the second or third date, but it's been some time since I've dated so I don't really know what the norm is anymore.

You don't "owe" a date a kiss, ever! If it is your first meeting I would back off a little. What all are you going to hand over on the 2nd date? Just because your friends are doing it doesn't mean you have to. You make the rules not the guy!
