Yes. Skeptics are often as skeptical of themselves as they are of others. I speak from personal experience. I question everything - literally, EVERYTHING. My own personal thoughts are not exempt from this constant analysis.

A good skeptic should always question his ideas, and also his motives before doing something. To me, a skeptic is just someone who takes everything "with a grain of salt" until he has the chance to do some research on it himself. I consider myself a big-time skeptic, especially in areas or religion and philosophy. Part of the reason for this is because I'm a psychology student in college and in that field we're tauught to always examine our own thought processes before passing judegement.
This was a good quesiton, by the way, because I see where you're going with it: most skeptics think they are so mpragmatic they don't have to question themselves!

Skeptics arrived at their viewpoints through skepticism, so accordingly these views should have already been subjected to review. However, the responsible skeptic should question his old assumptions when new viable information is brought to light.

Wouldn't that be the definition? I was skepitcal about being a Christian, so then I thought about being an Atheist, & now I'm agnostic because I'm skeptical about both of them!

I have had 2 experiences in the past 6 years that are of otherwise 'supernatural' influence. I am skeptical of my own conclusions brought about viewing an apparition/hallucination/ghost and also an out of body experience I had.
I honestly believe that veiwing of the ghost may have been due to several reasons contained in my eyes. perhaps a hallucination and given that I was in a PERFECTLY pitch black room with absolutely zero ambient light. Seeing the ghost may have been a hallucination or radiation of sorts left over in the eye communicating images to the mind. HOWEVER. even as i was reducing the event in my own mind, when the thing drew close to me I was overwhelmed by a horrified and chilled feeling through out my body. This, I have no explanation for. Although I have an easy explanation for seeing what I saw, the psychological impact was similar to what you hear people talking about with ghosts. Therefore I am skeptical of my own conclusion if it was a hallucination or not.
In the second instance. I was awake for nearly two days at work.
when I got home I fell flat on my bed to take a quick cat nap. Immediately I felt a wave of euphoria and saw myself drifting towards the ceiling. It lasted about 3 seconds and I awoke, my entire body paralyzed. I felt i was fighting to regain control of my body and that there was static literally in my brain. During the couple of minutes it took me wrestling control enough to sit up I thought I heard a voice mocking me. All of this could spiritually be described as astral projection. and the expereince again was quite visceral. It seemed in the few seconds I was out of conscience and spiritual id floating away from teh body that a demon jumped in to posess me and thats why i heard a voice that was not my own inside my own head and had to fight it off to regain control of my body. But the skeptic in me regognized this as what it most likely was. Being awake for over two days working...coming home. and having an overload of sleep chemicals released in the mind so that it affected portions of my brain to full significance before it made its rounds to other portions of the mind. Thus putting me in a sort of half-sleep quandry. Experiencing a hallucination such as drifting upwards probably because it was the last thing i saw before i closed my eyes. This being exciting enough to wake me up I kinda did and given half my brain was numb there could have been static in a portion of the mind that was currently detached for the id that spit forth a nonsensical phrase. Thrashing myself awake took what seemed like 5 minutes, but it was just that my entire body was 'asleep' just like when a limb falls asleep. I was vastly aware of all my nerves but there was no muscle response for a few mintues. Still, even though it only lasted a few seconds 'away' from my body it was much more an experience to be so immediately awakened in such a manner and Im not sure how.
It may be there was a demon there, but that I was not far enough from the body yet to be entirely severed and killed with my soul left to drift on the astral plane. I think science has a better answer to this. But again, like with the ghost, the experience was text book to what could happen. Thus, the experience in its truth of nature remains a mystery to me, even though I am convinced its a bunch of hocus pocus, the psychological reaction to the 'ghost'/apparation/hallucination and the physiological reactions I had to the 'astral projection'/sleep paralysis I experienced were very raw, base, and something that could easily be misconstrued as a supernatural event of sorts. I am not convinced of either way in any regard what was the true nature of either event.

They probly are and get in stupid arguments with themself over what they really think. I practice what I call "discerment", a gift I think we all can tap into if you try which is to not go with something if its intents seems bad.

i am sceptical
i am a medium and communicate with spirit
but i remain sceptical .. if i didn't address things with a logical mind , then i would be hindering my development and knowledge and understanding of what i do
i would be accepting things blindly and not looking for proof and answers
everyone should be sceptical in their beliefs
