I'm looking for intellectual answers here, no insults or cheap answers like "because the bible says so" or "because i have faith." Please refrain from Pascal's wager at all cost... that isn't even applicable to this question. Absolutly no scripture.

In your own words, why should i beleive christianity is reality?

Hey man - you walked into their arsenal and ripped out all the gear they were most familiar with. How did you expect to get any answers on THOSE terms?

Christians do not go around saying Christianity is the only way because they are arrogant, narrow-minded, stupid, and judgmental. They do so because they believe what Jesus said. They believe in Jesus, who claimed to be God
Along with that, Jesus said that He alone was the way to the Father.

Jesus said that He was the only way. Jesus is unique. He was either telling the truth, He was crazy, or He was a liar. But since everyone agrees that Jesus was a good man, how then could He be both good and crazy, or good and a liar? He had to be telling the truth. He is the only way.

Most often, those who deny Jesus as a historic figure denounce the New Testament writings, particularly the gospels, as fabrications or highly embellished stories passed down through the years. They must do this. Otherwise, they would have to acknowledge that Jesus lived.

Only in Christianity do we have the extremely accurate transmission of the eyewitness documents (gospels) so we can trust what was originally written. Only in Christianity do we have the person of Christ who claimed to be God, performed many miracles to prove His claim of divinity, who died and rose from the dead, and who said that He alone was the way the truth and the life. All this adds to the legitimacy and credibility of Christianity above all other religions -- all based on the person of Jesus. If follows that if it is all true about what Jesus said and did, then all other religions are false because Jesus said that He alone was the way, the truth, and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him

Christianity is not just a religion; it is a relationship with God. It is a trusting in Jesus and what He did on the cross historically, not on what you can do for yourself

Truth is not a feeling. Truth is not an idea. The truth is found in the Bible. The false religions are wrong because they do not have the truth. That is, they have a false understanding of God the Father, of God the Son, of the Holy Spirit, and the work of Christ on the Cross. Because they are in error in these things, they are in error concerning the doctrine of salvation.
The truth is important not because it is simply true. It is important because truth is what defines who and what we believe in.
The Bible is not myth. The Bible it is historically and archaeologically accurate. To say that it is myth is to assert something that simply is not true. It is a false premise to begin with. It is not a myth that Jesus lived, nor is it a myth that Paul the apostle and the other apostles lived. It is not a myth that Abraham lived, or Moses, or David, or Solomon, etc. The Bible speaks of Jerusalem, Egypt, Assyrian, the Jordan River, Bethlehem, the Nile River, the Euphrates River, pharaohs, Kings, and so many other things that have been verified through history. While we had knowledge that mythical stories can include actual places, this is not the case with the Bible. It teaches and assumes factual people, events, and places. Its style is written as a history book, of those who have actually seen what has happened, of those who have been there.

If follows that if it is all true about what Jesus said and did, then all other religions are false because Jesus said that He alone was the way, the truth, and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). It could not be that Jesus is the only way and truth and other religions also be the truth.

Either Jesus is true and all other religions are false or other religions are true and Jesus is false. There are no other options. I choose to follow the risen Lord.

For one i dont say everyone is wrong and im right. I've read the bible and have done research into other religions mostly the muslim religion. I have come to the conclusion that i believe Jesus to have been the son of God. I dont know it to be true only believe it to be. If you or anyone else could prove that Jesus was not the son of God without any reasonable doubt than i would be an atheist. But know one has done that and most likley will not.
Ive had spiritual experiances such as when i was saved and when i was baptised. I cant explain these feelings and just choose to believe that they are of a divine nature. I myself dont consider my self under any denomination and do not attend church or any religiouse ceremonies. A lot of what is taught and preached in most churchs is just the interpretation of those that are preaching it in my opinion. Many people put there own values and morals into christianity and thats a lot of whats wrong with it.
I know so far ive kind of rambled. So to get to the point. I cant convince you that christianity is reality its something you have to do for yourself. Many of my family tried to get me to go to there church and be christian when i wasnt at the time. This just made me more weary of christianity. I went to many churchs and looked into many religions and found that christianity was the one that i believed in. I dont however believe that organized religion is good. I think everyone needs to read the books even the hipocrifa and come up with there own interpretation and follow it as they want. All in all christianity or any other religion for that matter is not something that you convince someone of the have to do it for themselves. Otherwise your just makeing some believe what you believe.

All in all no one knows whats the truth and what isnt. Not you not me not the catholics not the pradustants not the muslims no one. We wont know the truth till we die. Hence faith.

I believe that the existence of God can be logically and philosophically argued. Truth cannot be assumed to not exist or to be relative, or else chaos would result. If truth is collective, then who gets to decide what the truth is? If truth is not relative, then it must exist outside of ourselves in some form, and that would by necessity require a deity, which is then our most logical assumption. From this point, if God exists then how is he revealed? A number of religions will claim revelations that describe who this God is, but only one (that I know of) is reasonable enough to be a step of faith rather than a giant leap (with a running start, for some religions!). Within that religion come specific beliefs according to what has been written by scholars who have done their homework in defining those individual beliefs, backed up by scripture. I subscribe to those beliefs because I'm quite sure they are correct.

It is your choice. God does not twist your arm, so, I can not tell you why you should believe.
I believe because of experiences I have had with God. I believe because when man was an idiot thinking the world was flat the Bible told it was round. It told about germs before man ever had an idea. It revealed so many things, thousands of years before Scientist figured it out. But, I watch on the History Channel about Nostradamus and his predictions. May be some just feel the Bible got lucky stating physics way before man figured it out. So, I believe, but, that does not make another person believe, sorry.

In my own experience, before I asked the Lord to change me, I was a selfish, caniving creature out to get what I could for myself even when I wanted to turn over a new leaf, my motives were still for myself deep down. That's why nonchristians will often be disgusted with the sappy way a Christian will just forgive someone instead of trying to get revenge or any number of other situations where a person whom has not been changed by Jesus can't understand the motives of a Christian. I am one who can see my life as a beginning, middle and end, and consider the meaning of it, and I have come to know that struggle between evil and good in my life, even as I am tempted by, say, alcoholism, Satan coming to me at a trying time and telling me to go get an alcoholic drink and give up on things, I ask the Lord to give me strength and He does right at that moment. That's no small thing. And when I began donating things to a family member, Satan tried to get me feeling ingratiated toward them just for receiving that charity, but knowing the Lord and his ways, I refused to give in to that temptation, and since, people have been donating to me that same type of thing I was donating, even more than I could give, and that supplies my future donation. Dare I mention an old saying,"You can't outgive God." As a Christian I know that you are my lost sibling and that's why I would want to tell you or anyone about the power of Jesus in your life, so that you could live this way too. That is what is prophecied to happen in the near the return of Christ, that people would not believe in the power anymore, and that's such an important thing to know about God is the power to create a universe, and living creatures, even souls, is immeasurable power. He is a great, wise, powerful and loving God. I don't think of people who don't believe as wrong, just more stubborn to accept a situation where they would have to admit that they don't have as much power as they wanted to, because with God you have to accept that He is all powerful, but that it's okay because he loves you, and feel safe in that knowledge. But people are originally untrusting and feel put off by having to trust God in situations where they think they could figure things out themselves. Unfortunately, Satan is alway there to confuse people, and without God's guidance, he can get people into very bad situations, and cause doubt. But, you know, blah blah blah, it's all gonna just sound like words if you don't ask Him yourself. Truly your soul is in your own hands; If you don't believe you'll be one of those who don't and God will judge you, I have no right to do so, I'm not righteous, but God won't hold me responsible for your choice, so choose wisely my friend.

By this simple fact:

Regarding religious Babylon, (False Religion).
How are this world’s religions responsible for the blood of all those slaughtered? In that all these religions—Christendom’s churches and non-Christian religions alike—have supported, condoned, or even taken the lead in the wars of the nations; they have also persecuted and killed God-fearing people who disagreed with them.

Read the Bible and you'll find the true religion. Honestly, non hypocritically and in faith.

Great question. In a nutshell, my changed life. Prior to becoming a Christian, I followed many religions & beliefs. Since God has placed a desire in each of us to know Him & an innate knowledge of Him (like an adopted child searching for his birth parents) my spirit was never satisfied. I need proof though & after reading "The Signature of God" by Grant Jeffrey for scientific proof I prayed the sinners prayer & accepted Jesus & he literally changed my life.

You ask me to answer a question involving something I believe without using the source in wich I believe, It can't be done.

As a christian I am an ambassador of Christ to tell what He would say in this situation and this is what he would say, weather you believe it or not. "I am the way, the truth and the life."
And because Christ said it, it proves that Christians are right.
If Christ were to say the color blue is now green, the colors wouldn't change but blue would now be called green, because it would be the truth if Christ spoke it.

thats not a question anyone can answer except for you. are you looking for proof, everyone has their own proof, He has done so many diffrent things for so many different people. do you have anything to say that it isn't reality? if it is it will be your soul not ours, so thats your choice to make. i can't speak for all christians but for me i have no doubt that He is real, because i spent many years lost on drugs and tried everything to get clean no amout of money, no rehab program nothing worked until i found myself in jail with no future ahead of me and the moment i hit my knees and prayed for Him to come into my heart I became a new person i was finally "free" and delievered from my addictions and now i have my freedom back and a wonderful life, that i would not of had without Him. so you have free will , so do as you will, but don't try to get others to tell you if you are right or wrong and to provide you with what you feel is enough evidence. you have to make the decision for yourself. what i believe is right FOR ME! like i said before its your soul. i know that sounds harsh and i will pray for you.

You don't have to believe it, I don't believe it. If you did believe it you would have faith and you would be a christian. That is the back bone of all religions. You must have faith in something that cannot be proved. I have to go now unfortunately but good question.
