geeeeesh I can't see why it would be taboo. Unless your best friends bro-in-law is married or in a committed relationship. That would be a definate NO WAY.

If your best friend hates him that could be a problem. But, it isn't her business who you date or don't date.

Go for it.

I say it's definitely ok, as long as you talk to your friend about it first. I doubt she'll have a problem with it. And even if it doesn't work out, how often will the two of you have to encounter each other? Just talk to your friend first and she may not be ok with it, but just remind her that you chose to go to her first before you did anything. And she'll eventually get used to the idea. I know friends are supposed to have an opinion about who you date, but they shouldn't get in your way. If she's a good friend she'll go with it. It's not like it's going to ruin her relationship with her brother-in-law. And just be sure that it doesn't interfere with their relationship, talk to both of them about that and make it clear that you're not trying to make things weird for them, you just want a chance to have a relationship with a good guy. Go for it!

Is he single? I guess it would depend on a lot of things. If its your best friends brother in law, theres nothing really wrong with dating him. You aren't related. How does your best friend feel about it? Is your best friend the one married, and its her husbands brother?

I don't know about Taboo, but it's not a good ideal. What happens when it does not work out?

Look this is a "fire" waiting to burn out of control if you become involved. Trust me it is. In the long run you will have more problems and drama than you really want to deal with.
