If its just the walls, then expect to pay roughly a days money, depending on area, could range from £75-£125, but if you want the whole lot done, ie ceiling and woodwork, then obviously it would take longer.
Bearing in mind that its always top middle and bottom, the ceiling has to be coated first, perhaps 2 coats, depending on how grubby it is, you cant start on the walls till the ceiling has dried, then you have at least 2 coats on the walls, then your u/c and gloss, or 2 coats of satinwood.
Also there is the moving whatever furniture you still have in the room, sheeting up, prep if need be on ceiling walls and woodwork, then theres the rubbing down, it all adds up.
Going by what I have said, your looking at 2-3 days work.

I am self employed in New Jersey as a handy man of sorts doing everything from roofing to remodeling to painting. When I get hired to paint I charge between $150. and $350 per room depending on room size, number of rooms, and ease of project. If someone wants me to paint only one room I will more then likely charge more, where if someone wants me to paint a whole house I will charge less per room. One room may be $350. 8 rooms may be $200. each. When I started my business I got the prices of professionals, and I based my prices off that. I hope this helps.

Well it soon will be christmas.But at a guess i would say around 2000pounds.The painter will need plenty to drink cos he may get paint poison and you know the price of a tipple.

paint it yourself it will take you a few hours depending on color. you could make it a party invite a few friends order some take out and supply some alcohol you'll be done in no time.

If you could have told us HOW big is the room.. HOW many square feet, I could have told you the approximate cost in the U.S. and also in London

ok don't think i am being rude, but couldn't you paint it? save yourself money plus anyone can paint a small room

Not sure where you are located , but here it would cost around 100.00 that is from start to finish.

i would just get a mate to do it and he/she will probably only charge a tenner or they might do it for free thats what friends are for.
