well i'm sunni and i'm happy the guys being hanged. i don't know a single sunni who is not celebrating. In my opinion, Islam IS a "perfect" religion, but that doesn't mean that its followers are perfect. every religion has stupid people in it too. Do all christians believe the same exact thing on every political event that goes on in the world? same for the jews? ofcourse not! maybe some sunnis think his punsihment was not enough, i know that i personally think that his trail should have been held at an international level and even hanging is not good enough. anyways, the media focused on a small group of people who were outraged by the verdict, the opinion of that tiny group cannot be stamped onto the enitre sunni people as a whole. its common sense.

Easy one, you have to first understand that Saddam was a sunni, the sunni population lived a relatively good life under the Saddam rule. You also have to understand that the view of sunni muslims is very different from ours. We see Sadam is a dictator who ruthlessly ruled Iraq, killed thousands of people etc. That is not the way they see things. In this part of the world, it is very normal to have a single ruler for years. Once a president, always a president until the day he dies. That is a fact and they have lived like that for 100s of years. They are simply different and have a very different approach to politics.
The Shia on the other hand suffered tremendously under the rule of Saddam, they are the majority, yet they never had any sort of control over their country not even at a city level. Many of them were jailed and killed under Saddam's rule and they are damn happy about the verdict.

Saddam is Sunni, isn't he? The Shia and Sunni disagree over a prophet, if I remember right. That's why Sunni's are angry.
As a side note, Bill O'Reilly and Michael Savage have both said that, in essence, "Saddam really knew how to control those people."

The Shiite's and Sunni's have been fighting for years, so even though Islam is a religion of "peace", apparently, its only peaceful if its the same denomination of islam. Sadaam is Sunni, and commited mass murder of Shiite's, which is okay in the eyes of the Sunni's. Like I said, a religion of peace.

I am outraged because this is the first time that a dictator will be executed. Yet all the genocide by the Zionists against innocent children are condoned by those who wants to destroy Islam and it's followers. How would you classify Bush and his cronies.

Cause Saddam was Sunni so he made life wonderful for the Sunni and terrible for everyone else (like the Shia). It was like Hitler, he made his followers and happy, and if you werent, then well you get the picture.

Saddam was a secular Sunni, Islam is far from perfect as evidenced by every country where they are in the majority is run by a dictator or in a war.

For every one to know Saddam was NOT SUNNI. The whole war thing is about politics and Islam is perfect whether people like it or not.

It has nothing to do with religious beliefs, beauty. Sunni Arabs constitute a tiny minority but they used to rule under Saddam's regime.
