i want to get my belly button pierced and i'm curious about other people's experiances... ( can you still play sports?swimming?clothes not to wear?...)

My sister had hers pierced and she had lots of problems. She got an infection and once it had gone the piercing actually "migrated" a term where the piercing starts to push out.
Her skin became to thin to hold the ring and she had to take the belly ring out. Now there is a not so pretty scar.
Just know the risk first (google it) and also where you get it done is important.
Not every story is successful

I have had my belly button pierced for 10 years and it never caused me any problems. You need to keep it clean and take care of it for a while but then it will be fine. You may want to wear clothes that don't brush against it for a bit.

I had mine done when I was 15, back before they made you have your parents consent. I didn't have any trouble with it unless I wore something with a high waist. It can get irritated that way. All other activities were fine. After while you subconsciously avoid getting it caught on things.
3 years later, I was wearing a tight skirt with a high waist. I was in the grocery store and I was crouching down looking at something on a bottom shelf. I stood up really fast and the curved barbell I had in there got caught on the waist of the skirt, ripped my skin a little and flew out. One of the balls on the end had popped off (thank god) before it came out, so it didn't rip that far through. There was blood. I didn't put any jewelry back in because it was way too painful after that. It ended up healing over and now (10 years later) I still have a dark little scar that I hate.

I sorta want mine pierced too. Thanks for asking the question, I need a little help too. But since I know someone with a belly piercing I know she wears alot of belly shirts!
P.S. Stay thin, dont get chuby...............IIILLLLL!!!!!!!!

Just because you can pierce your navel, that doesn't mean you should. Everything piercable shouldn't be pierced!
