how many times do you think a person can attempt suicide and be saved, before they actually succeed? do you believe if the doctor told you, you should've died from all that, but didn't, does that mean you have a strong purpose to keep living?

what i'm trying to say is, if someone is all alone and tryies to committ suicide, and then someone shows up and saves them, and this ha happened alot, is there something keeping you from dieing? i mean if no one knew about what you were doing, if you cut yourself clear to the bone, down a whole bottles of sleeping pills, or try to shoot yourself and the gun jams, is something trying to keep you on earth?

In some ways yes. But this does not mean if you jump off a building you won't die from the landing. Each time someone tries to committ suicide they do actually get closer to success as they are really trying to get it over with.
I do believe that we have a purpose here on earth and that we will never know truly what that was. For some of us it may simply be to raise our child till they impact the whole world. For others it may be to convince someone else they can still contribute to this world no matter how insignificant hey feel or how large their troubles are.
I also do not believe that we should take our own lives for many reasons. But the best one to satisfy me is that I have been given this life out of love. And I do not wish to abuse that. I know i only get one shot at doing the most with this life and i don't want to say that i was tested too hard and failed, i want to say i was tested hard and still finished as i was supposed to. But i am prepared to say i couldn't have done it without a lot of people help in different areas of my life.
I understand here that you are talking from first hand experience, and so i'd have to say that there is definitely a reason you live today. And its simply because you are supposed to be alive. I dont know what it is you are essential for but perhaps you will start to notice in time.
I hope that time is soon :)

To answer the first question, some people succeed at suicide the first time, some can have several attempts in their lives but never die. I do believe if a doctor tells you he has no idea why you are still alive, that there is some specific reason why you are still alive. I believe God is in charge of these types of things.

It means deep down you really don't want to die. Don't take your own life and spend an eternity in hell. Nothing is so bad that one needs to end their own life. Everyone has problems at some point in their life but we have to work thru them. They eventually work out and we have become a stronger person for it. Join a church and stay away from all the negative influences in your life. Best of luck to you and remember life is a gift from GOD and only he can decide when it's your time to go. You may be going thru something rough in your life right now but you will get thru this and there is happiness in your future.

Maybe the Good Lord is trying to tell you something. Don't just think these failed attempts were just coincidences. Listen to what God is trying to tell you! Honey, there isn't a thing you can't tell God, He has a plan for your life. Loose those ties that bind you, and give your troubles to Jesus. You cannot know the angels that surround you, keeping you safe. Give thanks, and have that talk with God.

it only takes one time to be successfull. but if you lived, then yes, you have a purpose, everyone's got a purpose in life. you take your own life and that's the ultimate sin, the ultimate betrayal and that's an infinite time in hell and that's a very long time. evaluate your life, why are you here? go see the people that loves you, surround yourself with them. good luck, please don't do it again (if that was you)

Its whatever you believe, or person in that situation believes. They could just be lucky (or unlucky) or maybe they do have something worth living for. But it can be any number.

I think if the doctor tells you that, you better be glad that you are alive, and appreciate the life others can't enjoy
