My husband and I are debating over whether or not this picture is real. I cannot see how it could be real but he insists that it is. Someone please help me out.

No these are not real. If there was an issue where the holes would be in the finger the outside edges of the opening would be darker from the dead tissue and the inside would be more red or black from dead tissue.

No, it is not. Like many of the pictures on FunnyJunk, it has been photoshopped. I suspect they probably took a picture of something like a lamprey and pasted it onto the fingers. A lamprey is a kind of primitive, jawless fish, you can see a picture of a lamprey mouth here:

While things like your picture are not biologically impossible, nothing with that kind of complexity and that little effect on the surrounding skin has never actually been observed.

Whoever says it's not real is the winner. It's done in photoshop. My ex can do things like that and better. She can put someone else's face of a picture and make it all blend in.

I really don't think it is. Especially since at the bottom it says "add this funny pic". I just don't even know what you could do to yourself to make your fingers look like that.
