Decieved in what way? By religion? I would have to agree with that, if that's what you mean. It seems to me that some of the real vocal proponents of Christianity are totally blind to the world around them, following only the laws of an ancient out-dated tome, with no reagrd to man's law. I saw someone once say "I would rather be a killer who is saved, than an atheist. At least I know where I'm going." In other words, it's okay to break the law of man, because you're going to be with God when you're dead.

I believe societies reality check goes south when we no longer need God. We seem to have much faith in things people come up with, trust in that, and then ask this question when society lets us down. Nobody wants to hear this talk since we are more enlightened then our ancestors and have outgrown God, so my answer may not be well received.
We can continue with the reality question if you would like, but I'm curios what you believe; a world designed or a world by accident?

I think it's the lack of real education. The ridiculous questions I've seen posted are frightening. A lack of the most basic understanding of the fundamentals of science. It's rather disturbing.

Well you don't clearly state whether you believe or not being on a spiritual website, so it sounds to me like u don't believe. I cannot tell to properly answer this question. But faith & love is the only reason for life. All else is failure. So I think u are mistaken reality for worldly.

Reality is a hoax of the devil. If you get too much of it, you go crazy. Just let go of "reality" and except the Bible. Go to church. Be a nice person. Tell everyone you meet of the truth, so they don't burn forever.

All of the above. People are products of their upbringing & their experiences. Some are lucky enough to see that they have other choices. They can always go back if they liked what they had before, but everyone should have a choice.

Well, I believe most people are in touch with reality, but then they suspend it for their religious beliefs. But whatever they want to believe is fine with me. The problems begin when they legislate it.

It's the parents. The Parents failed to teach the kids that some things are just BS and as a result you get idiots.

I guess the first thing that comes to my mind when I read your question is, "whos reality are we talking about?" YOURS. To impose yours would be unethical to say the least. Your understanding of these matters are limited. You should not make judgement calls based on this limited understanding.

Why do people always assume those who believe the bible are blind, ignorant, deceived, uneducated? I have studied the bible for ten years. I've never put more time, more thought into anything.
If you don't believe that's fine. But don't you think it's a cheap way to justify disbelief.....by doing to others what you would have them not do to you...insult you for your opinions?
