by telling him the truth and seeing how he feels...god puts apprehension there for a reason...he wants you to be careful

How you give him the number depends on why he would use that number. If you want to chat, just say you two should chat sometime and give him your number. If you want to set up a date, just say hey maybe we can hang out some time and give him your number.
If you slip it to him without reason, he won't know what to do with it. Most likely. And don't "tell him how you really feel" cuz that is just creepy.

I guess the best way is to be semi-secret. Tell him that your computer doesn't work and you need him to fix your computer. Write down your name + number on a piece of paper and tell him that your really need him to "fix ... your ... computer".

slip it into his locker/backpack ;) and put a # then sign it with a secret name like say i put a number it would look like this

will if you are scared to give it to him your self mail it or if you now some of his friends tell them to give it to him
