Since I have been on Yahoo.answers I have seen words and phrases I have never heard of. I finally found out what Emo is but now I need to ask "What is Salvia?" I have never heard of such a thing and I have a 15 year old. I know I am getting older but I did not think I was that far behind the times.

Well, Colleen, I knew there would be at least 1 stupid answer. You obviously spent all your time in Science and totally forgot about English and Spelling. Saliva is not spelled salivia, which I know was not a typo bacause you did it twice. Apparently, you have a hard time reading and think everyone is as illirterate as you. I spelled the word salvia not saliva. I understand your confusion but try reading slower next time. Had you read the post I did you would know what I was referring to. The guy that posted the word salvia was referring to smoking it. So I guess I did miss Science class because the teacher never taught us that you could smoke spit.

Yeh guys, I thought he meant spit at first also. I thought what does spit have to do with pregnancy but then I read other answers and read his post again and realized he was talking about smoking whatever salvia was. Which of course gained my curiosity because I have teenage children and try to stay informed. I truly appreciate all but one of your answers. I am glad to know I am not the only one that had no clue what he was talking about.

Thanks, zeropulse and red_tina. I knew it had to be some kind of plant or household product that these kids are smoking but I was unsure exactly what. Just one more mind altering substance to protect my kids from...Good greif and this one is legal..lol.

Salvia is a plant from Mexico that when smoked will get you higher than marijuana. The thing is that you can order it by mail from Mexico and since it is new to the U.S., it isn't illegal here yet so people are ordering it via the internet and getting high without the risk of getting busted.

Salvia is a perennial plant. I have one in my garden. I don't know how that connects, but it resembles something of a darker Heather.

Salvia is some sort of plant that you can smoke -you can buy it in a headshop. I'm not sure why it's not illegal, or how it compares to pot.

If you don't know what salivia is then all I can ask is where did yuo go to school? It's taught in EVERY science class that I know of...salivia is SPIT. It is what makes your mouth wet.
