i got my lip pierced yesterday, and when i woke up it was really swollen. it looks like i got punched in the face. should it be like that?

I would consult a doctor that isnt supposed to happen

Hi ,yes your lip will be swollen for a couple of days ,, you will need to keep it very clean so that it can cure fast ,, you can put some peroxide and alcohol on it ,,also don't forget to put some antibiotic cream on it too.. if the swelling does not go down in a couple of days , or it gets bigger then you might of catch an infection ,,then you would need medical attention ,,,but to have some swelling around the area is normal.. you can also use a warm towel or ice and hold it against your lip,,

Yes, just put some ice in your mouth, keep it close to your lip adn the swelling should go down. I got my tongue peirced adn it swelled so bad that I could hardly talk, the ice really helps.

yes my niece had hers done and she also looked like that ,but if it doesnt go down within a couple of days see a doctor.

i would take it out asap. an oral piercings are so dangerous, swelling means infection, you could lose nerves in your face TAKE IT OUT
