i think they need rights.

They need to have certain rights, like the right to live in a safe, secure home free of abuse of any kind..physical abuse, parental/guardian drug abuse, emotional abuse.

The only rights children have are the right to a supportive/loving home, food in their bellies, and a roof over their heads, after that it's all privliges. They do not have the right to watch television or to have on in their bedrooms, they don't have the right to a computer, or to have on in their bedrooms, they don't have the right to cellphones, video games, videos, dvd players, stereos, toys etc. Those things should be EARNED by proper/appropriate behavior.

um, children are amongst the most protected members of any civilized society... what rights are you specifically referring to? Working laws, sexual preditor laws, education bills and laws, child abuse laws, Welfare programs and availability, I think you need to be a little more specific.

there are many reasons why children need rights but i think that the most important one is so that they grow up having self esteem, dont give them any rights and they wont feel important and wont have very good self esteem

They need right to not be mentally verbally or physically abused. They have right to have food and shelter. They should have rights to have friends
