In my opinion, I would respectively disagree with all the above so far. Oscar is well past his prime and has nowhere near the intensity to train the way he once did. Oscars grown to comfortable in his surroundings and lost the will to dig down deep and see what he has left. Oscar in the media has even stated that "He's losing interest in fighting" and when he does mention fighting two names come up "Mayweather and Trinidad" that's it, he never mentions the younger and more aggressive Margarito.
If this fight were ever to happen, look for Del La Hoya to under-train pretty much in the same manner he did when he fought a young and hungry Felix Strum, in that fight Oscar was given a gift and Strum goes down on a list for worst decisions of all time. Strum brought the fight to Oscar every round.
Antonio would have one thing on his side that Oscar has a bit of a vulnerability to, a body shot. If you look at tape of Oscars, lets say, past 6 fights, look how high he wears his cup, it often times is about three to four inches above his trunks. I've always been of the opinion that Oscar doesn't like to get hit to his body. Look what Hopkins did with a clean well placed shot to Oscars body. Antonio works the body better than most of your Mexican fighters out there today, better than Barrera and Morales combined, he would work the body so effectively he would slow Oscar down just enough to switch it upstairs and possibly stop Oscar in the 10th round.
If the younger and the much hungry Margarito doesn't stop De La Hoya and the fight goes to the score cards, Oscar wins, because this fight would be fought in Las Vegas.

Margarito mounts a good body attack and as we all found out after the Hopkins fight Oscar doesn't like it to the body. Antonio would win. I also don't realistically see Oscar fighting again. His place in the Hall of Fame is secure and he's got more money in the bank than his great grand children's children can spend in a lifetime.

we are able to work out after the paquiao combat and somebody knocks out the lighting fixtures fixtures or gets his lighting fixtures fixtures knocked out. LAS VEGAS is a pay according to view experience. So pull up a stool on the community activities bar and draw a draft or a glass or 2 and revel interior the masacre'. Paquaio has a wager he's wirey and a bullet arm hitter De l. a. Hoya could be chewing mat in the previous the 6th. unwell be there on my 2d or 0.33 pitcher sharing a platter of wings and nachos if we are fortunate they'll plate up a number of those crammed oheur derves like shrimp wraps or olive cheese and salami creamchese foccochia and salsa with baked solar dried tomato paste. the entire bar loves those while Rose places them out. After 3 photos all of us would be interior the spirit no count the fights consequence. cheers to The winner Paquaio.

i'd have to give the edge to Margarito, because he's he's more hungrier and De La Hoya is probably just getting burnt out (past his prime).
take this fight a few years back..and i'd say De La Hoya hands down.
