No. All you need is proof of where you live. Examples: Your drivers license, Electric bill, Library card, Cable bill. Just so your name & address is on it.

Pick up the phone and call the League of Women Voters or the Board of Elections in your area. Some areas only require a signature because voting was set up that way. Some Republican areas now require ID. The best way is to call.

Make sure you show up to vote because it's "Paul Revere Time, 2006 style" and people are coming out to monitor the vote, get other people's stories if there are problems and poll watch. There will even be vigils and afterparties at the polls, so be there on November 7th or be Square! Check it out: http://bluerevolution.us/

Recently I was a canvasser going out to allotted districts reminding people to return the voters registration. The forms I gave out gave you the choice to give the form back to me,send it yourself by post or simply phone your local authority with the details. Anyone can vote in England as long as you are from the commonwealth, A EU citizen or already British. This does not apply to general elections. If you do not register and your name is not put on the electoral register you simply do not vote

Most states need a picture ID or utility bill with your name and address in the precinct where you are voting. The provisional ballot is a good back up suggestion but should not be necessary.

It depends on where you are. In some places, just your driver's license is sufficient.

Call your local "voter registrar" - probably in the telephone book, to get an answer.

Of course, you probably have to be registered already if you want to vote next Tuesday - in your case, I have assumed you just misplaced your voters registration card.

Good luck to you

WE don't need them here. If you are registered, your name will be on a sheet. I think the first time I voted (and I was new to town), I showed my driver's license so they could see the photo.

Each time i vote, i havent needed it....unsure why they even send it. You would think that you would need that and your id. seems like there could be fraud happening if you know someone in your circle isnt going to vote, you can just go to that voting site and give the name and vote again.......(hope not) VOTE NOV 7

You don't need your card. Your name should be on the list at your polling place.

If for some reason it's not on the list, demand a "provisional ballot." You can vote, your eligibility will be confirmed and your vote counted.

In our town you don't need it. You just tell them your name and they look you up on a sheet. I have never had to show my ID. I live in a town of 5000 people where everybody knows everybody. You need to try your local courthouse. They could lead you in the right direction. We have to go to our courthouse to register.
