is clinical depression curable without medication

Anxiety can be cured with cognitive therapy for sure. Anxiety and depression are often found together. If they are coupled, anxiety is often the primary disorder with depression being a result of it. Clinical depression can be cured with cognitive therapy as well; the reason drugs are used more is because cognitive therapy is sometimes grueling hard work that some doctors and patients don't want to deal with. Be very critical of anti-depressants because they can cause suicidal thoughts.

Anxiety is definitely related to depression, both are a consecuence of an unbalance in brain neurotrasmiters.
Anxiety is not curable even with medication. Medication diminishes the symptoms

I have experienceed horrible anxiety over the last few years. Its probably the worst thing I've ever experienced. One thing that helps me calm asap is thinking about God (if you belve in a God that is). I also find that being around people I'm comfortable with makes it a lot better. Talking about it with someone you trust will make you feel like its less of a burden on your shoulders. Also, when people have anxiety they have a negative flow of thoughts. To overcome the negativity you have to train yourself to be more positive and believe that you can overcome it. The best tip on dealing with anxiety I ever got was to just let it be and not try to fight it. When you feel it coming on just pretend its nothing and carry on as you usually would. The more you try to fight it the more overwhelming it will feel. Learning about what anxiety really is helped also helped me to overcome it. Understanding why people get anxiety helped me...kinda feel more relaxed when I got it. It also makes me feel better knowing that there are so many people with it. The more I open up about it the more I realize so many of the people around me have the same problem. There are some precautions you can take in your everyday life to avoid anxiety: 1- No caffeine period. 2- limit your chocolate intake (it has small amounts of caffeine) 3- obviously no soda with caffeine 4- limit your sugar intake 5- try to eat more healthy if you dont have a balanced diet 6- take vitamin B complex (I recommend naturemades b complex- they almost work like the placebo effect if you believe they will help you. I live off these things) 7- Exercise to shake off the anxiety- Ive heard of people running every morning to get rid of their anxiety. 8- Stay around people and keep busy So yeah thats basically how I learned to control and manage my anxiety which got rid of the depression. I hardly ever have a problem with anxiety now and if I do I'm generally able to trace the cause. Also, I tend to get more anxiety prone before and during my period. birthcontrol is supposed to help with that but I never had to try it because I got rid of it by doing everythign I told you. You should also deal with any unresolved conflict in your life if thats whats causing the anxiety. Hope this helpss :)

If you are a natural person you should try cognitive behavioral therapy. It was the only thing that has helped me with my horrible health anxiety. Read here https://tr.im/ZvYQM

Your thinking determines your quality of life. Your thinking is what causes you these feelings:

Anxious, fearful, stressed or depressed
Constantly worried, or angry about something that is happening in your life
Struggling to overcome obsessive and negative thoughts.

If you change your thinking, you will change your life. This is the basic idea behind CBT for anxiety. The Cognitive part is where you learn nee methods and ways to change your same old habits and thinking patterns. If you keep thinking and expecting the worst – You will continue to suffer.

Some people are able to meditate and calm themselves down. Unfortunately I haven't learned how to do that. I use Xanax.

I don't know if anxiety and depression are related, but I suffer from both. Seems like they would be opposite and perhaps would cancel each other out, but no.

A lot of times, depression and anxiety go hand in hand. Some people are misdiagnosed as depressed, when in reality, they simply have an anxiety disorder. I know this first hand. Years of crappy SSRI medications, and feeling even worse. Finally saw a doc who knew what she was talking about, prescribed Xanax XR, and bam, I feel great.

anxiety and depression are both need proper medication and its curable depending on the stage of both./ early detections can easily be cured./psychologist or psychiatrist needs to be consulted./ proper diagnosed and proper medication are big help to recover from this kind of illness. if the case is worst, it took years of medical treatment. dont depent on 1st opinion, get second opinion to some specialist.

Maybe and maybe. I don't understand why people are reluctant to use medication for mental problems. If you are bleeding, would you not use a bandaid? If you have high blood pressure, would you not take a medication to lower it? Why exacerbate the problem worrying about meds? Just take what your doc prescribes and enjoy feeling "well" for a change. Then you can talk about weaning yourself off of the meds once your body has had time to heal, physically and mentally. Godloveya.
