The doctrine of the Trinity is encapsulated in
Matthew 28:19 (New International Version)
19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Notice it does not say "names", but "name", singular.
The parallelism of the Father, the Son, and the Spirit is not unique to Matthew’s Gospel, but appears elsewhere in the New Testament.
2 Cor. 13:14:
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
Heb. 9:14
How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
The word "Trinity" is not in the Bible, but neither is the word "Bible" and many other terms that came as a result of doctrinal development. If the Church did not develope doctrines, she would have no way of addressing heresies and resolving disputes. Development means clarification, it does not mean adding to or changing.
The first attack on the Trinity was Arianism, which was addressed at the council of Nicae in 325 A.D.

The NIV is not an accurate Bible.
There are 31 missapplied or mistranlated verses used to support the trinity. We know that because we have the older manuscripts and scrolls available now. Texts not available at the time the Vulgate and King James were being compiled.
There are hundreds that show there is only One True God that sent his Son.
That makes the trinity a contradictory doctrine.

i'll say the scripture & you can use a concordance to go find it, i'm too lazy right now to look up verses sorry:
Jesus and God are ONE.
you can't get to the Father except thru the Son.
if you dishonor the Son you dishonor the Father.
John 1: in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God & the Word came to earth in the Flesh.
so God & Jesus are ONE in Spirit then, because we know that Jesus sits at the right hand of God in Heaven, they don't share a physical body. hope this helps :o}

Is that a question?
‘Christ according to the faith, is the second person in the Trinity, the Father being the first and the holy Ghost the third. Each of these three persons is God. Christ is his own father and his own son. The Holy Ghost is neither father nor son, but both. The son was begotten by the father, but existed before he was begotten--just the same before as after. Christ is just as old as his father, and the father is just as young as his son. The Holy Ghost proceeded from the Father and Son, but was an equal to the Father and Son before he proceeded, that is to say before he existed, but he is of the same age as the other two. Nothing ever was, nothing ever can be more perfectly idiotic and absurd than the dogma of the Trinity.’

Why do I need to use the NIV version? It shouldnt matter. Here is your scripture.
Gensis1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God in Greek or Hebrew (I remember which, but you are free to look it up) is actually Gods meaning the Trinity.
Luke 23:46 Then Jesus shouted. "Father I entrust my spirit into your hands!" And with those words he breathed his last. He is talking to part of the Trinity
John8:42-47 42Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. 43Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? 47He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God." Jesus says God sent him.
John8:28-30 28
So Jesus said (to them), "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will realize that I AM, and that I do nothing on my own, but I say only what the Father taught me.
29
The one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do what is pleasing to him."
30
Because he spoke this way, many came to believe in him.
Jesus says He is the Son of Man and he speaks what the Father taught him.
Want more? Everything around us is made in 3 demensions. Length, width, height. Everything has God's imprints all over it. SO to deny God you would be a fool.

Baptise them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
In the beginning Elohim (plural of Alyh) created the Heavens & the earth.
Elohim said, "Lets make mankind in our Image.".
1 John 5:7-8
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven; the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth; the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
The LORD (Yahweh) thy God (Elohim) is one (united, EKD) LORD (Yahweh).

Of COURSE you'd want to use the NIV text.
That's the Non-Inspired Version.
Why not get a real Bible the wasn't paraphrased by a committee?
