So can I take this cephalexin and will it give me some relief till then? I have a headache from my tooth that has a post in it but it needed a crown and I waited and didnt get it.. its infected and bled when I flossed.. also I just need to know until I get to the dentist if this drug will work.. I have 10 left..500mg.
I also realize to take acidophilus because antibiotics rob the good bacteria in the stomach. Any other tips of what I can do until I see the dentist will be appreciated. (and pls no harrassing posts) thanks

keflex is an antibiotic, not a pain reliever. It may not hurt to take it... but it wont take away the pain. Get anbesol or some other teething type gel, use that YOu can also put a whole clove between the teeth.. next to the one thats hurting, or clove oil will work too, rub it on the gums. call your dentist in the a, and see if you can get in early.

If you are going to take an antibiotic you need to have enough for 10 days. I would first call my dentist and tell him its an emergency. In the mean time take Tylenol for pain relief. But please call the dentist first.

Take the antibiotic. If you have an infection, the dentist might not be able to treat it until that clears.
