Ok I'll try to sum this up without too many details. I've been with this guy for 3 1/2 years. He is an only child and with that being said he tends to be very selfish. When we fight he says really mean things, and hardly ever says he's sorry for what he's said. The most recent comment was during a heated argument and I asked him how he felt about me (I'd been feeling him pulling away). He said to me that he just wasn't sure if this was how he wanted to spend the rest of his life, with me that is. I go way out of my way to show him every day just how much I love him. I have talked to several of my close friends and they think I should dump him. Everything we do is on his terms. We talk when it's convenient for him, we go out when he wants to, we have sex only when he wants to, and etc...I love him and I want this to work, but my biggest fear is that we aren't even married and there are issues. A good friend said to me the other day, do you love him or do you love being with someone?

walk away now! you don't need that! 3 1/2 years is more than enough time to change if he wanted he would of changed already, besides you need someone that respects you and care for you and your feelings, and if he doesnt think he wants to be with you for the rest of his life why are you waisting your time with someone like that.

Do you really want to continue living your life like this? In a relationship there should be compromise. He sounds way to selfish and he really doesn't care about what you want. Just think if it were someone else in your postion, what advice would you give to them?

get rid i have been there with an only child and there selfish ways and i ended up with 3 kids by him and him saying i don't Love u anymore and walked out get rid before u end up with kids with someone that cant stick around

My mom is in a situation like that with my step dad, but he just doesn't trust her or me in a matter of fact. I think u can never stop loving him but don't torture yourself in this relationship, if you tried your best to help it and it wont work then just move on I bet it is very hard for having that relationship for that long but if u do get out you would be happier. My mom is mislabel and she cant get out of it. It is just best to do it sooner then later.... But chose what u want to chose....
