I am vehemently opposed to any attempt by any official to erase our borders, and conflate the cultures and governments of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Canada and Mexico might benefit from the deal, with the added economic and militaristic prowess of the US being added to their nation’s body, but the US will suffer from Mexico’s corruption and large unemployed population. It simply isn’t a good idea. Furthermore such a large portion of the US, especially in Middle America, are too fond of the US’s sovereignty and identity to ever dream of intermingling any aspect of our government or culture with Mexico or Canada. I surmise Canada feels the same way.

It is not only what the Mexican ambassador wants, it is what the U.S, Canada and Mexico signed up for in Waco, TX, in 2005. Since it is an AGREEMENT between the countries, our govt can, and have, bypassed Congress. Most Americans don't even know it's in progress, because it's all done behind people's backs. The idea is that our borders will be safeguarded by Mexico, who will continue to screen their southern border, and Canada and the United States will cover the sea and air traffic for both Mexico and Canada/US. All this will come into fruition in 2010, and is one of the reasons why Bush is not really interested in securing our southern border with a fence etc., since that in all likelihood will have to come down by 2010 ... this agreement has already been signed, and you can google www.spp.gov, or plenty of other web sites which will let you know this is not a dream, or a nightmare, this is REALITY ... and as long as people don't understand that, or are willing to listen, that is exactly what will happen. No more United States, and free flow of labor across all borders .. including our border with Mexico ... sorta amnesty by default if you like ... to me, it's scary, and the only moderately good point about it is that all US citizen will be able to freely go to Canada, if I understand it correctly ....

Well, that's very generous of the gentleman! Unfortunately, that's like a bum with a knife & fork saying he wants a chunk of my steak- it ain't gonna happen! Washinton, Jefferson, & the rest of the Founding Fathers didn't sacrifice for the "North American Union".

Absolutly and totally against it. I know this has been in the works for awhile. It will be a total disaster for America. It sickens me to even think about it. Good bye America hello 3rd world cesspool.

He is wrong as well. The economy will be pulled downward by Mexico and Canada resulting in a lower standard of living and economic hardship in the US. You think America's poor are poor now wait until they are as poor as the poorest Mexicans.

Makes me think of that movie "Wild Wild West" with Will Smith...hahaha, the United Divided...I know, completely off, but it just popped into mind!

Oh, I disagree with the concept. It is a disaster and the United States would be weakened.
