i used to get the same thing, awful, had to walk the floor to stop the pain, i used arthritic cream, rubbed right into the bad areas, usually worked, it was a circulation problem, i had to quit smoking, after 45 years, n believe it or not, the darn pains stopped, i hated to admit that but it's the truth, maybe you should see your doctor. good luck to you.

There are a myriad of reasons that you could have pain in your legs and feet at night and after sitting down everything from a pinched nerve to a clot in your veins could be the cause, wearing tight clothing can restrict blood flow and cause crampy feelings too and sometimes it is simply because you spend an awful lot of time standing in one spot during the day, if this is the case try getting a small box or step so when you stand you can rest one foot on the box and then alternate legs also try to move around a bit more and when you take a break lift your feet up off the ground all together.

It sounds as if you have poor circulation to me. Younger people to suffer from this just not the old. You may have narrow viens or blocked viens restricting adaquate blood flow. For some reason it seems worse at night usually exspecially in younger people. Try resting with your legs propped up and see if it helps. Take hot baths as this opens veins up. If it is really bothersome you may want to consult a doctor who may inject dye into your veins to see if there is a serious problem.

If you have low pulse or blood volume with narrow blood vessels then blood circulation will be in standing position but in bed pulse rate further goes down, therefore this problem is arising.
You should exercise daily, it will improve your heart activity and blood circulation too.
You should take balanced diet and especially salads and green leafy vegitables to treat your constipation which i suspect.
Keep your both legs in warm water bucket for some time before going to bed.

You've got a pinched nerve. If it's not swolen, try sitting in a tub of water as hot as you can stand, if it's swolen then use ice, and eleavate your feet higher then your heart when you sleep.
