any ideas..i wanna get one done..but i want some ideas on the design

by straight edge, i assume that you mean abstaining from tabacco, alcohol, recreational drugs, and casual sex. here are some ideas:
-you get get the black outline of a heart on your wrist (where an I.V. would be put) and across the middle of the heart, have text reading "SxE", "sXe", or "straight edge"
-an X on either the palms, or the tops of each of your hands
-"Edgeman" on your shoulder, or just above your hip bone.
If You Don't Like any of these ideas, just find a picture of a design at the tattoo shop and put Straight Edge on it.

Not sure on designs but I'm sure if you search straight edge tattoos you will find some.. or talk to your artist... just make sure that you are planning on living the straight edge lifestyle for the rest of your life.

I'm not sure what a straight edge tattoo is, and I'm supposed to be a tattoo artist, well, I will become one eventually......
I'll give you tips on picking tattoos, though. When picking a tattoo you have to take elements of your personality and think of what design or picture best relates to your personality. You can also dig in your past or look through your future hopes to find what you want. It's very complicated...

Only you know yourself well enough to know what you're going to want on your body for the rest of your life. What is important to you? What do you want to see on your body, looking like an inky blob in 50 years while you explain it - with FONDNESS - to your grandkids? Keep that stuff in mind when choosing. Tattoos should never be a mistake or fashion statement. They should be an artistic expression of who you are, as a person.
If you are absolutely CERTAIN that you are going to stay straightedge for the rest of your life, go for it. Otherwise, you're going to end up looking (and feeling) like a fool in 10 years when you decide to partake in some wine at a wedding or a few beers at a friend's housewarming party. Several of my friends are straightedge and a few of them already have tattoos. One of the guys said that he would wait until he was 10 years past the legal age to drink and get the tattoo as a present for himself, for staying true. And now he has a gorgeous backpiece that says "STAY TRUE" and has a peaceful mountain/sunset scene. He says that he got that because staying true to his beliefs has provided him with the serenity to get through life - and he wanted to embody that serenity in the tattoo.

nothing to big because that looks cheezy! i like hearts or butterflys if your religous a cross is always cool but remeber you will get old and if you dont want to look like that when you get old
