Atheist here. I came to my conclusion first by making the observation that Greek and Egyptian mythology was once considered a serious religion... people believed that stuff as strongly as Christians and Muslims believe in their faiths today... Looking at them now we call them mythology and it dawned on me that contemporary religions are simply today's accepted mythology. From there on i took an interest in finding out how these things came about, and why people believe in them so strongly. I've learned a lot about religion over the years and the more I've learned the less room there has been for a god.

I know of no scientific FACTS that show man came from what you have listed. Question. IF man came from a fish, where did the fish come from? Where did the power, the technology, come from for one species to change into another? Who put the chain of events into motion. How did that fish go from living in the water to living on land without water, then to sprout wings and become a bird?? Wow !! If a fish became a lizard, how long did it take, and from where did the second lizard come from so they could mate? How did that first bird learn to fly? Why would evolution stop? Evolution should be an ongoing thing shouldn't it? If evolution is still in progress why don't we have things that are half lizard and half monkey? Read the Bible and see for yourself. Put evolution right up there with the reality of Santa, the Easter Bunny and the tooth ferry.

I believe in the One, True, Living God.
And everything in the Bible isn't "myth or folklore." -_-'
For those people who believe in evolution, how come we have sex to reproduce? When I go to the beach I certainly don't see people or animals coming up out of the water being "born." There's order in the world. My God is a God of order. I know the sun is going to come up every morning. I know that we go through four seasons a year. I know that when things die in the fall they come back again in the spring.
Don't you wonder: how a caterpillar can become a beautiful butterfly? How babies are formed in the womb? How no one else has the same finger or tongue print as you?
God created us to be unique individuals, in His image.
Just think.

I came to the conclusion that God doesn't exist because I have common sense. A story that claims things such as a random guy building a boat and saving two of each animal seems irrational. And something written thousands of years ago has no meaning in today's world. It seemed like the solution to everyone's problems back then, but today we as humans are smarter and do not need God to answer why we are here. We have discovered science!

Yes I believe in God! Jesus too. & none of my beliefs are myth/folklore, I do don't believe in evolution because there is not enough scientific evidence for it, only a bunch of unproven theory's..

the best answer i can give you is Faith. you just believe and study the Bible and you believe because of faith. on the scientific facts, you should further your studying of that, scientists have tried for eons to disprove the Bible and that God exists and more times then not, they end up proving them self wrong. i truly believe in God and the Bible and feel that scientists usually end up doing religion good by trying to disprove it by actually proving that things int the Bible are real. that is my belief and i hope for eternities sake you feel the same way. another way i look at it, if God is real, do you really want to take a chance and not confess to him and worship him and risk eternity in hell. i dont...lol if you believe in the Bible, then the reward is so great in Heaven, that is the chance i want to take rather than saying he is not real and facing a far worse eternity. besides, i truly do believe in God.

I believe in a god, (several Gods, actually) and I don't explain my religious teachings unless they are asked.
I also believe evolution was simply one of the God's tools. So why not teach it? Is the god of others so weak he couldn't invent evolution? Not to 'help' him, but to be his tool? Are humans weak for inventing the screwdriver? Pure idiocy, IMO.
MY GODS created this world. But that's just my opinion and my faith. So when it comes to schooling, I'll do the polite thing and keep it to myself. Why cant' others also be polite and keep the religious indoctrination at home?

It all depends on how you read Scripture. God said, Let there be light, and BANG! There was light, and the universe unfolded. God made man from dust. Science agrees. They just call it stardust. God made man as the crown of creation. Science agrees. They just place man at the end of a long line of modifications. God made woman from man's side. Science agrees. Man an woman are complimentary.
I've never seen a problem.

Yes I believe in God.
I'm sorry, but I must have missed these "actual scientific facts of evolution." Where are these so-called "facts"? All I've seen is un-proven theories and ideas. If there's something I'm missing, please let me know.
Peace.
