Im thinking starbucks burns their coffee beans. Depends on what your looking for, an espresso or a regular coffee. I prefer a colombian supremo in a light roast. Its very aromatic and tastey and a lot cheaper than blue mountian or an expresso that is dark and not burned. Try ordering online from a roaster who roasts and ships within 24 hours or a roaster in your town. The best one online i have found is www.ccmcoffee.com.

The person above is right, Blue Mountain is considered THE finest coffee bean, but you will notice a price difference between that and your Starbucks nutty drink.

Columbia doesn't just export illicit drugs but coffee as well....

Get a good coffee maker and try different varieties and strengths.
If you're keen you can even roast your own beans and grind them yourself.

FRESH FRESH FRESH! And the roast (how dark they are) matters with the flavor. Unused ground or whole beans can be stored in the freezer for best freshness. use a grinder - you can't go wrong
