Dating is nothing like being married.
Married is married. It's a committment to the other person to stand by them no matter what, forsaking all others.
Dating is when a person asks you out and you go out and have fun. Dating does not have a committment.
Dating becomes a committment when you agree to be exclusive with each other and become boyfriend/girlfriend/whatever.

I had always thought that dating was when a person asked another person to hang out, but that all changed when I started seeing someone, I never know what to call it since the topic hasn't really come up. I would concider dating to be when you have agreed that you are exclusive and not seeing anyone else and when you feel completely comitted then you are couple.

Dateing is designed to enjoy various activities with different people and to find the person that you would want to marry. Dateing is NOT designed for moving in together or acting like your married. And the different activities does NOT include sex.

My personal definition of dating = the process of eliminating the wrong ones, in order to find "THE" right one. Which means...it's NOT permanent, you CAN move on and if it doesn't work out it's NOT the end of the world! Also, dating is NOT marriage. Now, if you are in a committed relationship you should be faithful and loyal to that person, but that doesn't mean you have to stay with them "til death." You hope it's going to work out, but if not...get out, move on! Keep searching! Marriage IS for the long haul.

Dating is not like being married... you can walk away from a date... think about your question and the aspect of the whole thing... now maybe long term living together can be like a marriage and ifI am not mistaken after seven years in some states it is consider common law marraige... but to compare dating to a legal and binding contract... go ahead and give me my ten points... Ohh!! and I don't hate you...

Dating is liking someone (more than friends) whom you are getting to know in order to have a loving relationship, perhaps making it perminant. Also involves a certain level (depending on the person) of physical attraction. All in all it is a start to a (hopefully) meeting of minds and bodies.

Are you on crack? In what marriage is being with other people ok? Yeah... that's what I thought... NONE. Dating is like a low-key boyfriend/girlfriend thing. You are mainly with one person, but the other person can't get mad if you hang out with other guys/girls.
