I ran into this guy about 8 months ago and we hit it off talking.I was still bitter about catching my ex of a few years cheating on me(they r mutual friends)he listened and understood. He drove me home that night and i invited him to stay.i asked him to sleep in the bed with him,he did,i asked him to put his arm around me,he did till i slept.he was such a gentlman,a mutual friend told me he liked me but was freaked about my ex(who still wants me back)i saw him 2 months after that and he came to me and said"your killing me"my ex was also there and was upset with the fact that that we both liked eachother. So 6 months went by and i thought about him a lot,i saw him at a party recently and when he walked in he saw me and looked away real quick. He did not seem into me anymore, what happened to me "killing" him?

It's could be any number of things:

1. You gave up too much too soon
2. Neither one of you really pursued the other
3. Too much bitterness and drama with the ex?
4. Not enough direct communication between the two of you (hearing through a mutual friend...why didn't you just CALL?)
5. He has moved on

It was weird from the onset; he was a friend of your ex. Given the relationship between you, he and the ex, the whole "stay the night with me" scenario was too much too soon. It wasn't him you were into, it was the need for comfort. Plus, you and your ex have individual issues about each other.

Sorry, but what would make any of that appealing to someone? You came to the table with too much baggage and unresolved issues. It's like asking someone wearing a white suit to work on your car: "Sorry, but I think I'll pass. Nice car though..."

Think about it; wouldn't you have avoided a situation like that?

it doesn't sound like "killing me" was a desire, it sounds like your ex problems was getting the best of him - he was trying to win your heart but you won't let go of your ex

good question, maybe he choose his bro over you. ask him what happened or just start off by being a friend and let what happens after that happen.
