No, there is a proper way to pop a pimple. Use antibacterial soap on your hands first. Dint use your nails to pop it use your fingers. Before popping it put a warm wash cloth on it to bring the infection to the tip. Gently push your fingers together, and the puss should secrete. If it doesn't pop the first time wait about an hour to try again. Try not to pop pimples too often. Try putting some toothpaste on it before bed to dry it up if you decide not to pop it.

Some people here are saying that they dont get a scar after popping a pimple..it depends what type of skin you have...For example i sometimes pop pimples..and it always leaves a scar..where as a friend of mine does it at times too but she never has a scar...It really depends on how fast ur skin heals and whether you have sensitve skin ect...

Yes. It can leave marks on your face. Popping a pimple althopugh it get the bacteria out leaves marks because it is opened and has to heal.
I ususally just use a white wash cloth and wet it with water as hot as you can stand and place it on the pimple. It will take the swelling out with out leaving a mark

Yes i have been told by dermatologist that it is the worst thing thing you can do to a pimple for one it opens up the skin and is prone to infection and also leaves an ugly scar that won't go away . So i think what you should do is put peroxide on it for a couple of days and it will eventually pop on its own and won't leave a scar.

yes, its bad, but i choose to do it anyway. i should stop and you should not do it. by popping a pimple, you increase the chances of further infection. after the popped pimple "heals", a scar will be left behind. if you keep pooping pimples, scars will be all over your face. trust me, you don't want that. you're trying to get rid of the pimple by popping it, but you're leaving a scar behind. just let the pimple heal on its own.

It is bad to pop a pimple. But, if you must, this is what I do...get two wash clothes and wrap around each index finger and pop away. This way, you are more likely to not have a mark.

YES! Never pop a pimple. It spreads oils in that area which makes more pimples. Scrub your face every day to make them go away.

I pop all my pimples and it makes them go away 10x faster without any scars if you do it right, it just turns into a scab and its gone by the next mroning
plus, its really fun =]

yes.
then the scab has to heal as well as the pimple.
just ignore it and put a lot of makeup on it but wash your face a lot. in a couple days it'll be gone.
and id suggest proactiv if you have a serious problem with acne, more than just a pimple or two every now and then.
