"What separates us as believers in Christ is much less than what unites us." (Pope John XXIII)

Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

There are many minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.

A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.

With love in Christ.

there's a huge distinction between a born lower back believer and a catholic. The Roman Catholic believes interior the Church, the Apastolic succession of the Saint Peter down in the process the a while to Pope Benedict. The catholics have self belief that custom and Popes doctrine trump the bible so some distance as theology and faith are worried. that's the biggest cult interior the worldwide today. If a individual have been to depart the Church and say replace right into a protestant, they'd be leaving Christ and would as a result no longer inherit heaven. that's with the aid of fact they say they are the genuine Church, from Peter whom they say is the Rock on which the Church became outfitted. to depart that's to depart Christ and the religion. This church has picked up many pagan ideals by using its history. Mary worship and praying to lifeless saints is effortless prepare and is no longer supported via the bible. with the aid of fact the Catholic Church does not carry to the bible it has replace into greater of a WORKS gadget of perception. Believing that stable works is what God will choose them on and adhering to or staying interior the Catholic faith. Baptism(toddler) is one ritual that saves the soul interior the Catholic Church. Paying your tithes is likewise significant to maintain your Church club so as which you will properly be married or have your new child baptised interior the religion. If a member isn't modern-day with their selections, many times cases they'd pay as much as have those rituals carried out. there could be some born lower back believers in this team, however the certainty of Jesus Christ as being the fullyyt gratifying sacrifice for sins is complicated to locate. Born lower back christians do no longer belong to any denomination. To be born lower back is to be born of God. whilst a individual believes on the Lord Jesus Christ for the remmission of sins, Jesus places that individual to dying on the comparable bypass that Jesus Died on. The previous guy is lifeless and Christ makes a sparkling creature or a individual will become born lower back. Born lower back believers are tought via the holy Spirit to understand all certainty. it is what the scriptures tutor. who's larger to tutor the believer, the church no remember if Catholic or Protestant or the Holy Spirit in the process the Holy Scriptures and direct revelation.

I think both firmly believe they are just as much Christians as the next person. The Truth is though that the Catholic is TRULY a member of the Body of Christ because they TRULY consume the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. I believe that the Catholic is the person that St. Paul says will not fall asleep but, they will be changed in the twinkling of an eye. I think some of the other denominations who have a valid baptism will be raised at the end of time because they do have Faith in the Lord but, the Catholic is the younger brother like Benjamin was to Joseph in the Old Testament who was to remain with Jesus constantly. It even says something to that effect when Peter and Jesus are walking along in the second to the last paragraph of the Gospel of John and Peter turns and sees John walking along behind him. Peter thinks he is privy to all this special information Jesus is going to give him so he squeals on John by saying "Lord, what about him?" Jesus says basically the same thing Joseph says to his brothers when they squawked about bringing Benjamin to him -- he said "What if I want him to remain forever -- what's it to you?"

The Roman Catholic cult is not of The True Christian Faith... it is not the first nor is it the only... no one of the RCs can even know if they are going to heaven or not... that alone is against the teaching of Jesus The Christ and enough reason to disqualify them from being Christian... There are far fewer Christians than there are those who claim to be... There is only One True Church and that is The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head... and only those who have come to God in The Way He proscribes and received His free gift of Salvation are of The True Christian Faith and are of The Body of The Church...and only those of The Church will enter Heaven.

Better do some studying if you want to ask an intelligent question. First of all, catholic isn't capitalized. Look it up. Second of all, a Roman Catholic is no more a "real" Christian than one who's "Born Again". The word "Christian" has only one definition. "Born Again" is a modifier of sorts that suggests that the Christian hasn't had Roman Catholic dogma jammed down his throat all his life and has rather made a logical decision.

Where two or more are gathered together in my Name, there I AM also. Jesus is the High Priest in every home, church, temple, etc... where there are two or more gathered together praising God or reading / studying His Word.

A person who is not born of God, is not part of the body of Christ. Is not a true Christian. Some Catholics are born of God Christians. Some Pentecostals are born of God Christians. Some undenominationals are born of God Christians. Etc...

If one is not born of God, one is none of His.

One religious man very religious in His church had an heart attack & died (twice). He ended up standing before hells gates (twice). He cried out to Jesus & asked why? Jesus answered and told Him He needed to be born again (twice). He woke up in his hospital bed the second time & became born of God through heart faith in Jesus Christ redeeming blood.

To be born again means to receive salvation, and "be saved" through recieveing the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.
The difference is really in the individuals belief for salvation, and how to go about getting that salvation.
I belive that all types and forms of religion are good, and there is none better than the other. SOme religions just speak to the individuals on different levels which is what they need.

Christians who are not Catholic are typically just as Christian as anyone else, except when it comes to certain teachings of their own particular Christian denomonation.

Jesus founded only one church, the Catholic Church, and he promised to head it, guide it, and keep it forever, until he returns for it at the end of the age.

This means that, like it or not, all the other groups who profess to believe in Jesus Christ have their basis in Catholicism.

But because many of these folks choose to accept the original heresies taught by a number of well known false teachers, they have all been deceived into believing various types of error.

You can see many of them contained in the answers, posted in response to your question.

One of the most consistent errors these folks embrace is that the baptism of infants is somehow prohibited.

Nowhere in scripture is infant baptism prohibited, while major old testament "types" of baptism include both the crossing of the Red Sea, and the ritual of circumcision.

Certainly, all who crossed the Red Sea, regardless of age, were saved from death at the hands of Pharoah's army, just because they were with Moses, and were among the Chosen People of God.

Likewise, as God's one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic church is the repository for all the grace of salvation which Jesus obtained for us, and is also the "Pillar and Bulwark of the Truth" (1st Timothy 3:15) the Church is in a perfect position to supply any necessary faith, while also freely providing the grace of salvation, to infants, or to anyone of any age.

And since the Church freely provides whatever is needed, without the necessity of ANY WORKS by the baptized, our Protestant friends should actually be very pleased.

Perhaps they're still upset because infant baptism makes it tough to get Catholics to "switch" their faith allegiances later in life, and it deprives the Protestants of much needed converts.

Being sprinkled as a baby and just attending church in any denomination, doesn't make someone a Christian.

It's in the heart, soul, spirit and turning your life over to God and obeying Him and asking Him to come into your life and continue to grow spiritually. Theres so much more. Also, true repentance.

If any man/woman is in Christ, he is a new creation. You have the freedom to sin, but knowing what Jesus/God has done for us, we don't want to sin. We want to follow his example. Like children, we still make mistakes . Theres so much to say on this subject.
