I am sorry but this is an open question and since I am pagan I will give you an answer. I don't think that it would make any difference if you were of a different religion . It is not so much about religion as it is about power. Everyone wants to be top dog. If people of all religions could just come to realize that power is not all its cracked up to be then maybe there would be no wars and peace woud be easier to maintain.

The actual and the religious are dimensions. pals could have the two one. We meet a chum and teach actual love via touching or listening. there is likewise overlap in those issues. We teach to my way of thinking, religious love by using 1Cor.13, the place love is long-lively, kind, does no longer look for its very own way and greater than a number of different issues. now and back actual love is way less stressful to make certain than religious love. i've got faith that actual love softens the midsection, which may make religious love or agape much less stressful to get right of entry to.

we live in an ever changing world and not for the better,when I was growing up it was in a strong catholic family and now I'm older i think that a lot of what i was taught about the catholic religion isn't true to life,they dont believe in abortion but some abortions are necessary sex before marriage or if your husband hits you you have to stay in a violent relationship because divorce is wrong Think its a hypercritical religion and that could be what others think too

i am a christian. now lets remember what jesus has said

matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

luke 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you [from their company], and shall reproach [you], and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

john 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

john 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.
15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

1 john 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

Simple answer....They don't know how to show love to everyone regardless of who they are and what they are done. They have selective love, if there is such a thing. They fail to see that God wants us to love EVERYONE regardless of the circumstances. I know this type of love is difficult, but you will feel better when you do. It's like boomerang love, bouncing off of one person to another.
Jesus knows that everyone will not accept this love.

Jesus tells us in the New Testament (I'm studying the Book of John right now) that we will be persecuted for believing in Him. We will endure hatred and criticism just for saying that we believe in God. As difficult as it may be at times to hear this criticism and take the brunt of the hatred, it helps me to remember what Jesus endured, which was much much worse, as a man, for me and for you. God bless, my friend.

people who do not know Christ as their personal savior have a very hard time with love. they don't know what hey are missing and it makes them very defensive, they know there is something different about us, but they don't realize that they too have a spirit born of god and that it is warring with their flesh to see what we have, get what we have but they are controlled by the flesh and they think they would have to give up all of the so called fun things that are controlling their behaviors.they have never known true love. it's just my in-site as to why ..but that is what i think!

Jesus said, "If the world hated me, it hated me first." If we follow him, we can expect to be persecuted. 286 million Christians have been martyred since the beginning of Christianity.
