YOu should be able to feel the dogs ribs. This applies to all dogs. I would say your dog is overweight and should probably weigh about 15 lbs

From what I can see, they should weigh up to 15 pounds. Ask your vet and, if he is overweight, put it on a diet immediately because you are causing many problems. Your dog can get arthritis, have trouble breathing, and will definitely not live as long as it could. Do the right thing for your baby by checking with the vet. Good luck to both of you!

22 is a little overweight but not much.

actually no it all depends on where the weight is coming from, as long as it's muscle and your dog isn't a couch potatoe and gets lots of excercise
