How can you tell if your child has the flu? shes throwing up just once but it was all that flim stuff and she has a temp of 101 were giving her medcine that nausa stuff

HOw long does it last cause some lady at walmart told me it was 5 days...thats a long time for a 3 year old to be sick!

Take her to your pediatrician. They can test her to see if it's the flu. If it is, there is a medicine they can give her to shorten the duration. The flu can last for 7 - 10 days or even longer if it turns into a secondary infection. That is why the anti-viral medication that your pediatrician can give you will help shorten it. If it isn't the flu, she may have an ear infection or some other infection that would require antibiotics. Good Luck. :)

The best way is to take her to the doctor. Flu symptoms sometimes vary from children and adults.
