I'd pray for them, I'd try to show them the error of their thinking. I would always love them, however and be there for them.

Pray and lean. Lean on the knowledge that I have done everything possible and given them all the knowledge I can of God. The Bible says to "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it". I will pray that he/she would not get hurt by the world and come back to God as a prodigal. I will rejoice and not judge.
The world has only emptyness to offer. I have been there. I can testify with certainty that it is empty. Money, fame, boyfriends, girlfriends, nice clothes, cars, alcohol, parties, drugs, movies, games, TV, amusements of any kind are fun for a time. But after that time has passed and you are alone in your room, contemplating the void in your heart and life, Jesus will come when you call on Him. Without fail. This is a promise that will be kept.

As a Christian that is Gay the second part is a no brainer I would accept him/her. btw I have 4 kids from trying to live a lie as a hetrosexual so it is possible that one of my children will come out of the closet. It won't be a suprise I have suspected he was gay since he was about 13. Anyway I do have a son who also claims to be athiest there rest are simply agnostic. I am not proud of the fact but I pray for them and when God see fit for them to be lead home to Christ I will be holding the prodigal party. Until then I will patiently wait looking for them over the horizon.

Well I am a Christian, Jesus is my Lord...
I have had about all of the things that can happen to make you lose your faith happen to me, but it has just made me Love Jesus more...
I have a gay daughter.....
I brought up my children not to be biased....
But the Holy Word does speak out against homosexuality....
I told her how I felt she got mad at me for about six months and then stopped being mad...
I love my daughter with all my heart but nothing I can say can change her, so I lift it up to God and let him take care of this problem just like I do with all my problems!
He will handle it better than I because He knows what He is doing....

I haven't dealt with the athiest issue, but have dealt with the gay issue.
I love him, I pray for him. Do I struggle - oh sure I do. Do I still love him? Yes.
We talked, I said what I had to say, and now we move forward.
If anyone has any more to ask me about it, please email me, but don't send me all the 'he's an abomination' stuff, or tell me that he's going to burn in hell, or that I'm an awful mother....

Talk to him/her that being gay was wrong that God loves everyone but liking somone of the same sex is wrong and you shouldn't. My bro was raised Christian and is goign athiest, just keep going to church and praying for them.

one of the greatest powers in this world is choice. the most relevant things in this situation are the intention behind the choice and the choice itself.
once i am satisfied that my child has made a choice 4 the right reasons, i'll be at peace.
if i'm not happy with why he/she has chosen whatever has been chosen, i can only try 2 enlighten my child.

Take it to the Lord in earnest prayer(daily) for my son or daughter to be released from Satan's grasp and to accept Christ and his/her personal Savior.
