Funny....I'm going through the same turmoil with a friend right now. The hardest thing is, I don't know whether it would work out between this person and I either. I've had a situation like this in the past, however, but I was never approached by this person interested in me. My friends told me about it, and eventually, I very nicely made it clear to my admirer that sometimes it takes more than just physical attraction to be attracted to someone. And I think she eventually understood. But what am I to do now that I'm standing in her shoes? ---- I don't think I could ever ask....but I might try to make it more obvious to this person to see if I can get a reaction from her before I have the courage to ask her out. You might try the same...(?)....good luck...

yup, that happened to me last year. He said he didn't feel the same way and that we should just be friends and that maybe later it could be more. I was disappointed and i kinda stopped talking to him, cause i was mad. But i got over it and we gained our friendship back. I knew there wasn't anything i could do to make him like me. Now he has a locker right next to me so we talk a lot, but now i don't see him as being more than a friend. so i think you should ask him cause if you don't i think you will always have that feeling of, what would happen if i asked him...

I ran into this last year. I was very embarassed, but he helped me get over it. We have remained friends. Luckily, he was the smart one...it would have never worked out.
