what is the point of cyber sex?

what is the point in cyber sex? i mean, how exactly do you type and get your kicks at the same time? is it not a poor substitute for the real thing? i can understand the voyeur side of things but that hardly counts as sex, right?

I think that any sex that isn't tangible on a physical level, is exciting for those who do it because there is no emotional committment involved and therfore no guilt or responsibility because you are just passing through, doing your thing and there is no effort to lure the other person into it.

I am horrifed that people do these things because again, this is how addictions can and do form and is so impersonal that you may as well be faceless and just only have a body on conveyer belt, passing itself on to the next avalaible addict. I guess it's like those who write the mills and boons classics, who get some sexual high from writing it and because they are either an addict to the stuff or just emotionally shut-down and can only get real sexual highs and pleasures from things you are detached from.

Cybersex is okay if you don't want to interact and formulate normal relationships with other people, because you can get your thrills effortlessley, but the problem with it is and is a real growing problem, is that the person doing it then have problems relating to the oppossite sex in the regular world, so then have to develop another kind of personality whilst they are another kind on the cybersex rooms.

The person then becomes 'split' in personality and are not conscious of it, but they do become so when they adopt different behaviours and mannerisms around regular people than they do from the ones in the cybersex world. It is like a man with an addiction to porn, he gets his kicks from the page 3's, but is dysfunctional with women in the real world because a part of him has to divide himself when meeting regular women and likely live in a denial that he has the problem and so is shut-down emotionally.

Coz it's thrilling and it gives the other party or the person himself/herself is mysterious feeling of who they're "making-out" with. Just think about those loners (no partners), if they don't have a partner but have sexual needs, how do they exactly vent their desires off? The only way is through cyber-sex, it's simple and easy to shake it off. Just open your pc, log in to the sex websites or having a webcam does the trick. That can actually saves their time hunting for sexual partners, saves money to look for hookers and also to lower the risks of infecting with viruses and HIVs. That is great in all aspects. So am I right?
