Thankfully, we are all equal in Gods eyes. Jesus has done more for women than any other "religion". Women used to be thought of as property. Jesus has elevated women on an equally spiritual plane. Women are just as accountable as men.
The persons answer you quoted is a skewed vision of Biblical submission of a Godly wife.
Yes, we need to submit (I know, an ugly word in today's vernacular) to our husbands, however, there is the other side of this. The husband must love his wife and give up his life for hers, just like Christ. He may make the final decision, but the wives have a say and a valid, prayerful opinion for him to consider. When he does make the hard choices, he also bears the responsibility.

God is always in control. But that is a wrong example of a husband being the head of his household. God made man and woman to share in equal respect. The answerer obviously has a problem with women.

Yes. Unfortunately, a lot of men (and women) believe that women are weak and that men are needed to make the decisions. I had a friend who always told his wife that she "didn't understand" anything. He made all the decisions, including when their child should eat or sleep. The wife always told me how "good" her husband was, to take care of everything for her. I can undestand men wanting power but not women wanting to be so subservient.

It sounds very catholic to me, but then I never understood why any woman would willing be catholic since the church’s position is that just being with a woman takes a man further away from god. Interestingly, the Vatican seems to have less trouble with pedophilia that it does normal sexual relations between adults.

That answer isn't Biblical - not Christian. I understand the principle of the man being the head of the house, however, Scripture says to submit one to another. It also teaches equality between the sexes.

There are many women who are gifted Christian speakers, and have brought many to the alter of God . Don't worry about one person's opinion. It means little.

I knew a guy like this once. It saddens me to say that his third short marriage attempt failed to change any of his attitudes. Seems people fail to see the scriptures that say that there is neither male nor female in Christ. And that God is no respector of persons.

Silverbirch is right. Read the bible, women are considered second class citizens in it. Silverbirch is not saying this is good silverbirch is saying that is the way it is. And for my part if you think it is inspired by God and it is the gospel then I would like to see you try to follow those parts you don't like also.

Think he got the reaction he was looking for. You got mad and gave him his 15 seconds of fame and glory. Definitely the only way this guy will get anything from a woman.
